Every now and then I like a Matcha shake and Blenz makes it best. It’s right in the middle of the mall.
One of my colleagues just had to stop in for a tour through the Orchard Park Mall. I tend to avoid malls and when I do get dragged to one, my wife has learned to just leave me at a bookstore until she's done. I didn't find a bookstore here but the Blenz Coffee shop was the next best thing. Friendly service, reasonable prices, and a pleasant cup of java.
The coffee here is made with care and attention to how good coffee should be made! The ladies working here are friendly and accommodating. Always have a coffee herewhen I am at Orchard park.
My review is very similar to Bri C review. My mom and I used to enjoy going to the mall and having coffee at Blenz and the coffee/drinks and treats were much better than Starbucks. However, it has changed. I ordered a mocha which is what I get in many other coffee shops and I have no complaints. This mocha was like watered milk. It was terrible. I was not going to drink it. I was pretty upset because it was expensive. So I took it back and explained that I could taste no coffee and no chocolate. The owner said it was made properly. She was very curt and when I asked if they could add some coffee and chocolate she proceeded to ring in the 'extras'. When I said I already paid for the drink she said "then here it is" and passed it back to me with no changes. I was so taken aback by how unwilling she was to do anything to 'fix' it without charging me that I just left the drink and walked away. My mom ordered a latte and it was very weak and needed another shot and it was barely warm. The gf free carrot cake was terrible, dry with a sickenly sweet icing on it. They used to have great locally made gluten free brownies that were delicious (Saber Tooth). The ones they have now are not great and WAYYYY too expensive for the size. Sadly, we will never be going back. The price is way too much for everything to get such poor quality drinks and treats let alone the rude customer service.
This is a great mall that has a variety of stores. A very large food court. Good information on finding your way around.
Before embarking on our shopping trip at the Orchard Mall, my sister and I decided to have a coffee and tea break. We select this vendor because prices were reasonable, seating was available and menu selection was varied as well as large. I had a pumpkin spice latte while my sister enjoyed a chai tea latte. The staff was friendly and prepared our drinks quickly and efficency. Both beverages were hot and tasty. We were able to sit and chat without interruption until ready to begin our shopping spree. I highly recommend this vendor when you need a break on your next visit the Mall.
Being from Australia we have been desperate for a REAL coffee. Found it here. And the soy milk was good also. Unlike most other places that use there silk Soy (yuk) this place uses another more palatable brand. Had 2 consecutive coffees here and we were only passing through.
The girls that work there are always friendly. The owner supports local farmer's markets and bakers for her treat whcih I like.
2.50 for a medium black. Coffee was decent and better then tim's(not saying much) and cheaper then Starbucks. Staff were friendly and helpful when I went in. Location is in a new spot in the mall.
My wife and I love that Blenz is here now. We hated the old coffee place that was here before and was excited to have a Blenz closer to us now. Coffee and late's are always good here but for a change we decided to order a new item called Coconut Late. It can be served hot or cold. We decided to order it cold. I have to be honest it was really bad and of neither of us could finish it. It was a late with ice in it and some coconut syrup added. I guess this would appeal to others but we didn't like it. Next time we will stick with coffee. Snack items are pretty good but a little pricey compared to other coffee places.

Ordered a matchachillo as a treat to myself and when I got the drink, it was a very light colour - barely a hue of green. As a matcha-drinker for years, I know a good matcha drink when I see one: slightly dark, vivid green drink. If it looks like a light green, there is not enough matcha in it and it will taste like just milk or whatever the base of the beverage is. And that was exactly the case here: a light green frozen matcha beverage that tasted nothing of matcha. When I asked the barista about it, she claimed that it was made correctly "with 3 scoops" and I explained that I'd had the drink many times before and it's usually much darker in colour. She claimed that the stores I'd been purchasing from must be using more matcha, but that she made the drink correctly. I went and sat down in defeat but shortly thereafter decided to go up to the front counter to complain about the beverage again. I simply could not drink this beverage knowing that I had paid $$$ for (fellow matcha drinkers out there know how expensive it is!) and not be happy with it. I asked if they could make me another drink instead. The barista suggested that they put another scoop of matcha in and re-blend it. I said sure. She proceeds to ring in another scoop of matcha and I said "you're not going to charge me for it though?!" She said yes... I ask (again) if they could just make a different beverage instead. She then turns to what looks like the store manager and explains the problem. The manager then claims to me that the drink should be fine as it was made correctly. (Side note: I've worked in customer service and this is NOT how you handle a customer complaint. You remake the drink, no questions asked.) Anyways, after going through three different Blenz workers, they decided to add a scoop of matcha and re-blend the drink (food safe note: a customer's drink should never go back into the blender for contamination reasons.) After all this, the drink was still dissatisfactory. I will not be visiting this Blenz again.
I was ready for a sit and cuppa after doing a bit of shopping. The coffee was fabulous, the banana bread so yummy and the barista was really very pleasant. I'm sorry I didn't notice his name! Nice relaxing place to sit and sip a coffee!
Blenz makes good coffee and I do love their "treats" but they are a tad pricey just for a snack. Maybe it's the fact their located in a mall which is an expensive place to run a little business from. Their brewed coffee's are priced lower but like any other specialty coffee outlet as soon as you start adding different things the price goes up. I had a scone and a cappuccino and of course they were excellent but 9 bucks for a quick snack is a tad much for me. I'm not totally blaming Blenz for this because the industry as a whole is the same way. All that said... you'll get what you would expect to get from a Blendz franchise. The staff was pleasant to me and helpful. It appeared that the tables to sit at were clean and wiped down. I would go here again because DANG their scones are yummy.
I love Blenz. I have been going for years, even if the drinks were made wrong, it was still good service. Up until the other day, and for that reason I will no longer go to this location. I am in the customer service business as well and it doesn't matter how busy it is or how bad your day is, you do not show your negative attitude to customers. We had gone to get something to drink and one of our orders was rung in wrong. When the drink was made I simply said this was supposed to be something else. The barista looked at me like I was stupid and said with attitude I guess I'll make another. As that person was making it they were mocking me with their head bobbing around as if I couldn't see them. They then slapped it on the counter and yelled it out with no eye contact. Did you think to ask if maybe the person that took the order messed up? No, instead you chose to make the customer look stupid for ordering the wrong thing. Thank you for the incredibly runny frozen beverage that was a huge inconvenience for you to remake, you made my day!
Blendz make excellent coffee. Far better than the other large franchises in the mall. Their Maple Macchiato is delicious and they also make a very nice Matcha Latte. The service is quite good as well!
