Very disappointing meal for my wife and I. We choose the fixed price 4 course dinner. Smallest portions I have ever seen for the price. The lamb sirloin main was basically a few bites maybe 3 ounces of meat. 2 dishes were 2 to 3 bites at most and the dessert was underwhelming and poorly cooked. Our bill was over $280. Our guest beside me ordered the duck and the kitchen took two 3/4” slices off a whole breast and that’s all the duck he was given on his plate. I do not know what they did with the rest of the duck breast. Needless to say pretty sad. Quails Gate will have to do a lot better for us to ever come back.

GORGEOUS outdoor area to sit for a cosy cuppa, friendly helpful staff + a total vibe. Coming back for my daily dose for sure! Don't skip this.

We had a wonderful experience at Old Vines. The ambience is lovely and the food is always meticulously prepared and delicious. What made our evening exceptional was the service we received from our hostess, who reseated us at a quieter table, quickly and without fuss. We were able to truly enjoy our meal and evening at this exceptional restaurant.

We went to Old Vines for our 10th wedding anniversary. I had high expectations as we had eaten there 10 years before and I've raved about how it was the best meal I've had in town. Sadly this experience didn't compare. We got the tomato appy. Which by the way is $16 for 2 slices of beef tomato with spices and a few little cubes of feta. It was ok. They pour tomato water on it at the table which is funny as it's already 70% water. The halibut entree was tiny, with about 5 ounces of fish, 3 halves of mini potatoes, a sliver of leek, a few slices of chanterelles and a couple dime sized pieces of zucchini. For $39 it tasted good but really just needed more potatoes or something to make it a meal. As we were still hungry we had the cheese platter. The cheeses were a bit dry and underwhelming. Crackers that came with it were very hard and blah. And our dessert came straight from the fridge (the salted caramel chocolate cake thing) and was also not fresh. Perhaps Covid has impacted this restaurant as it has many, but for the prices they are charging they need to be held to a higher standard. We went to the 50th parallel winery Restaurant for my birthday last year and they gave us a complimentary glass of wine. For our 10th at Old Vines we got a mumbled “Thanks for celebrating...”. Nothing like rolling out the red carpet. I won't be saving my next big event for this restaurant.

Absolutely wonderful ambience. Menu tries very hard to stay reasonably priced which is good but I was a bit disappointed with my risotto. Service was friendly but seemed stretched.

I have to say I do not normally write reviews, however I was so disappointed with my evening at Quails Gate! I had friends visiting from Vancouver and was excited to bring them to Quails Gate as I normally have had good experiences there. First of all, our both waitresses were very disappointing! They both were very straight faced and did not smile once at any of us! They had a hard time getting into any kind of conversation except for taking our order! Then 2nd it took 1 1/2 hours to receive our dinner. We actually thought they forgot about our dinner! No one came to explain what the hold up was or offer us a glass of wine perhaps on the house! 3rd, one of our guests dinner was cold. He sent it back and when he received it, it was dry! The rest of our dinners were only Luke warm. For a restaurant at the level it was very disappointing! We spent approx 450.00 with wine and left surprised compared to our other experiences on the weekend.

Course served were good, with the exception of one entree, the duck was tough and not properly rendered. Server was friendly, but hostess started evening on a sour note by saying we had to leave by a certain time as a big group was coming in later, despite the fact we had made a reservation. Unsure if we will return.

Having had outstanding meals here before, we were a bit disappointed. First, we had to wait almost 10 minutes to be seated - even though we had a reservation. Food and drinks were slow and the food quality, while good, was not as terrific as previous years. The shishito peppers were not the most flavourful, and my pork loin medallions were mediocre.

Atmosphere, views and service was wonderful! The food was very disappointing. My duck was overcooked and colds and the flavours were not balanced. Way too sweet. My husband's sablefish was once again too overcooked and the risotto was cold and hard by the time it got to our table. Will come back for the wine and views but probably not for the food again.

Wonderful food, service, and the view was exceptional. We have not been there for over three years, and now we rediscovered a gem in Kelowna that we've truly missed. The chefs are masters in the kitchen and the serving staff are professional. There is nothing to compare with in Kelowna. And now we know we need to make that trek across the bridge

Exceptional - looking forward to another amazing experience at Quails gate. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a beautiful outdoor dining experience as well indoor. Service was exceptional and the food stunning!

Our service and food were excellent, the best! We did find it to be a bit pricey, both wine and food seemed overly expensive, especially given that they serve their own wines, $17.50 for a 5oz white wine is not something I'd want to do every day. A lovely venue for a special occasion!

Beautiful location with scenic view (it was raining so not clearest for us but we could imagine!). Best Risotto I've ever tasted and suggested paired wine was perfect accompaniment. Staff friendly and efficient,

The lamb special was a big disappointment. Two in our party had it. One serving was largely fatty pieces and the other was undercooked. The restaurant didn't charge us for one of the dinners.
