When I arrived, nobody greeted me. I sat at the bar, which was empty, and waited seven minutes before the bartender showed up. After I asked for a menu, I expected to hear about features or specials as part of the initial welcome—but instead, I had to request them myself.
I ordered wings (since they were on special) and a beer. The bartender asked for my ID, which is completely fine, so I went to grab it. However, when I returned, he asked me for a second piece of identification, like a credit card, to confirm my identity. Frankly, I found this unnecessary and rude. I came for lunch and a pint of beer—not to apply for a loan or open a bank account.
Thank you, but I won’t be coming back. I strongly suggest working on basic hospitality, guest attitude, and client orientation.

No server for our group of 9. I had to go to the bar to order.(that's not a good business move) I ordered wine as I'm not a beer fanatic. With tip, my glass of wine was.$20. The bartender took another customer even though I was waiting before her. We live down the street and frequent kbi on weekends. We may consider somewhere else soon if this is what we get. But the music artists are amazing! We always love to watch and listen to them.

I wouldn’t recommend ordering the pizza. It came out raw at first, then burnt. The poutine and chicken wings were good, but I’d skip the rest of the food. It’s better to just go there for a beer.

After mentioning at the bar that it was our first time, we didn’t receive any guidance, no menus or explanation of how things worked. After placing our order, we were left confused about what to do next. When we asked if we should go find a seat and if our order would be brought to us, the only response we got was a flat “no,” without any further clarification. A bit more friendliness and clear communication would have made a big difference in our experience.
Visited Kelowna Beer Institute on July 24 around 8:30 PM with friends. The place was busy, but the service was very disappointing. We waited in the “Order Here” lineup, which was out the door, while the bartender continued serving regulars and people on the side instead of those waiting in line.
A bridal party upstairs kept sending people down for more drink orders for the people in front of us, which slowed things down even more. It felt unorganized and understaffed, and the bartender’s lack of attention to the actual lineup was frustrating and unprofessional.
The location is great, but the service left much to be desired. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t return based on this experience.

Such an amazing place for food, drinks , and the atmosphere. Food is delicious and they cater to their customers and city dragon boaters. Amazing wings as well! Never tasted better.
