Boccalino Restaurant, Motel & Cabins

We went for a special family dinner for eight and everything was perfect.
The salad was all organic and locally sourced with a very subtle vinaigrette and the choice of main courses were all inspired.
I've eaten in great restaurants around the world and this is a winner

Great food good service

Gisella was unbelievable. I stayed here while biking through the area. I caught the last ferry, and she welcomed me at the door, making sure I got in safe and sound.

The rooms are clean and cozy. Amazing value.
Best of all was the hospitality.

We stayed at Boccalino during the BC Epic 1000 bike race across BC and Gisela was kind enough to prepare dinner for us because we arrived after the restaurant closed. We are so grateful for the delicious food and hospitality in this beautiful part of BC!

My husband and I stayed in this sweet little rustic boutique motel for 3 nights for our first wedding anniversary.
The room was very clean and cozy. And the owner was very kind to us and very accommodating.
The restaurant was probably the best food we've ever had. The ambiance at the restaurant was perfect and we had a great experience. Would definitely recommend!

I recently stayed at this lovely motel and had a really great experience. It's conveniently located right on the highway, making it easy to find—just a quick two-minute drive from the ferry terminal.

The room was clean, and I appreciated the option for quieter accommodations around the back, which provided a peaceful retreat. One of the highlights was the beautiful veranda, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the scenery.

Check-in was smooth and pleasant, thanks to the super friendly and welcoming manager who made us feel right at home. Overall, I highly recommend this motel for anyone looking for a comfortable stay.

Love to stay here in order to catch the early ferry while on my way to Toad Rock camp ground. The motel is so charming, very clean and comfortable and Gisela is a wonderful host.

My husband and I had a fantastic 17-night stay at this charming, rustic motel in beautiful Kootenay Bay. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm hospitality and a genuine commitment to our comfort.

Our room was spotless, spacious, and tastefully furnished, perfectly blending rustic charm with modern amenities. We enjoyed waking up each morning to stunning views and peaceful surroundings.

We were in town for a family wedding, and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. They were always available to offer recommendations and ensure we had everything we needed. Their attention to detail and dedication to guest satisfaction were exceptional.

The location was ideal—peaceful and serene, yet close to the natural beauty of the Kootenay Bay area. We spent our days exploring local attractions with our family, and eagerly returned to our cozy room each evening.

Although the motel's restaurant is currently closed due to a fire and no cooking is permitted on the premises, we managed fine with the help of family living nearby. We hope the restaurant will reopen or that they will consider providing a BBQ for guests in the future.

Overall, our stay was flawless. We highly recommend this cozy motel to anyone looking for a comfortable, welcoming, and memorable stay in Kootenay Bay. We look forward to returning!

The service was excellent. Food delicious. Venue is very pretty. We had mussels and spinach dip appetizer which were very tasty. Risotto and pizza for dinner. All very good. Would give 4.5 if I could. Pizza dough a tad thick and some dishes lacking only slightly. Overall, very good food for the remote location. Would recommend.
