My husband and I visited the Bayview Brewery for the first time last night. It was absolutely phenomenal! The service and atmosphere was friendly and welcoming and the space was cozy and fun. They had an impressive selection of their own beers on tap; my favourite was the Straw-Barry Manilow, a strawberry cheesecake sour. It was delicious! My husband had the Cowichan Common which he loved….he’s Belgian so knows what he’s talking about when it comes to beers 😉 And the food - wow. To start, we shared the tuna tartare and the pretzel bite poutine with beer cheese sauce. We were blown away! And even though we were already full from the appetizers, we couldn’t resist ordering more food to try! We had a chicken shawarma naan pizza and a chicken shawarma bowl. Just wow. The food was SO delicious. We will absolutely be coming back and will be recommending to everyone we know. If you’re passing through Ladysmith - or make it a special trip! - don’t miss out on stopping into the Bayview Brewery! You won’t regret it!
And an added bonus - they allow pups on the covered patio! ☺️

The perfect place if you’re looking for a great bite and some good vibes. They have games to entertain yourself and blankets and heaters to keep you comfortable. We got the tuna poke bowl and the taco bowl with pulled pork.

So hungover and really wanted pulled pork was literally so fire had the pulled pork grilled cheese and it was the best thing I coulda done for myself, thank you 🙏🧎♀️

I've visited nearly all of the BC breweries and being a brewer myself, I can say with confidence this is one of if not the best Brewery we have been to. From front of house being the most attentive and welcoming I've experienced, to the beers being so on point, I'm not sure there's much room for improvement. Didn't try the food but it looked great. Not often you find a common beer in breweries, but twas excellent, a real highlight. Cream ale sour was also top notch. Vibe in there is as good as it gets. Great to see a local brewery thriving.

This place doesn’t need a review since day one of opening. Food options are great along with the choices of bevies. My all time fav and craving is the deluxe bacon sandwich. The bacon is from Victoria’s Berryman Farm and is so tasty. The salads are big enough and filling for two or will fill you up especially if you’re hungry. The daily soup is very tasty and fresh.
The only downside of this place is their popularity. It’s always busy and getting a seat can be up to 15-30 minutes depending on when you go. As a local, we try the off time hours. The staff and service has always been friendly and inviting. Ladysmith’s Gem!
Dog friendly patio, amazing food (I wanted to try everything on the menu), reasonably priced, good service…love this place, will be back for sure

food was incredible. probably my new all time favorite meal to eat out is the taco crunch with pulled pork! I'll definitely be a future regular at this place. had the Italian pilsner. also top notch!

Went here for a nice lunch. Good variety of food and service was nice. The tuna tartare was a standout with a good kick, along with the pretzel, Budda Bowl and Shawarma Bowl. Additionally ordered the tacos and a wrap. Nice interior.
