Such a lovely pub! We went there during the town's Christmas light up and it was so beautiful inside as well as out. The menu all looked delicious but the waitress told us the special was a really good, hearty chicken and bacon corn chowder with garlic bread. It was very filling and the best soup I've ever tasted! I'll be calling to find out when they'll be making that again. I can't stop thinking about it mmmm :o)

When there this evening with my family we showed up a few minutes apart I got there it was pretty busy waited 10 minutes for a drink order fine then brought my kids and wife's drink thought mine was coming waited another few im my head felt like 10 minutes like I said was pretty busy then waitress came back I had to order my drink again this time came promptly we ordered at the same time at this point we been there for 20 or so ordered food this was probably 535 or so as the restaurant started to clear out slowing down still waiting my dad who is 80 and very polite looks at his phone and says this is terrible im starving at this point look on his phone and it's 625 my sister the one who ordered after everyone else because they were out of scotch eggs of all things the only one who got her food it took another 10 mins for the next dishes to come to our table by this time with my mom's soup being the last to arrive don't if this is a one off but because we never had anything like this and we go here every couple months for the price we will be going else where from now on

What a horrible place was to have a Christmas dinner with friends who made a reservation two weeks ago. Our friends arrived first and were seated. We arrived waited to be seated and was totally ignored. It was our friend who informed us of the lost reservation and we were expected to sit at the front beside the speakers with loud obnoxious music. We didn't make it to our table as our friends were pretty disgusted and upset as this place is supposed to be one of the best places in town to eat...The smell of burnt garlic lingered in the air. It was disgusting. The atmosphere was so loud you couldn't hear our friends talking . We left and probably won't return. As for the food never got to try any of it .Just found the whole experience a total let down. Our friends were disappointed in this behavior as well. DO BETTER FOX AND DOG OR IS IT HOUND DOESN'T MATTER THEY CAN'T SEEM TO GET THEIR SHIT TOGETHER. HOW DOES SOMEONE LOOSE A RESERVATION THAT WAS MADE TWO WEEKS AGO. DISGUSTING. IM SHOCKED YOUR STILL OPEN

Every time we’re in town we always come here! I walked in with a sore throat and after eating the bangers and mash the pain was pretty much gone! I’m pretty sure it’s all homemade food there as well.

Went for a meeting which would have been good if we had realized that there was live music. The music was really good but not conducive to having a meeting. That was our mistake. It was difficult to have a conversation even if we were just having dinner
