Ordered a bar and a tea each, with my partner. Bars were served up and were perfectly fine. We ate them by the counter while waiting for the teas. Eventually a more senior-seeming employee asked the person who helped us if our teas were done. They looked over at us, said nothing, and continued making drinks for other customers. After another minute I asked if the teas were coming. The senior-ish employee said “Yeah, they’re coming” over their shoulder. Then the employee serving us finally made our teas. Can’t go back if two employees can’t sort out pouring some hot water.

I ordered the Crab Cake Eggs Benny. Don't. The crab was soggy and bland. The egg was ok, but the tiny dollop of Hollandaise was insufficient. The potatoes were very good, and there were a lot of them, which makes up for some the dissatisfaction. My guest had the Farmer's Eggs Benny. It was clearly better than mine, but still not worthy of 4 stars.

Got a pecan pie bar and sausage roll with coffee, both items were tasty, coffee was fresh and good. The girl serviced us seemed tired and not in good mood.

Went in to order a latte, service was very slow and was not acknowledged standing at the counter for quite a while. The latter given to me was 1/2 foam, which I could tell right away from picking up the cup. It was way too light to be a full cup. I contemplated saying something but I had been there long enough. When I got to the car to take a sip it tasted like milked down drip coffee.Very disappointing.

The food itself tasted good, and the portions were good. The baked goods were nice as well. However it was over $50 for our meal, and the service was very slow. We had to wait behind one person for almost 10 minutes before being able to give our orders.

Ordered ahead for take out had either forgotten to do it or just didn’t bother to do it and made them when I arrived had to wait 15 minutes for it to be ready. Picked up lunch came to Chemainus to our parents house only gave us 2 of the 3 sandwiches we paid $66.00 when I called them the girl I spoke to was very very rude considering that they screwed it up from beginning to end.

Waited 20 minutes for a coffee, as they forgot. Waited 45 minutes for 2 “classic” breakfasts that consisted of cold stale toast, cold(and incorrectly cooked) eggs, and cold back bacon that was like chewing on 4 day old beef jerky, and cold sausages. Had one piece of toast, tried the back bacon, saw the eggs weren’t cooked right and walked out.

Quaint little cafe that serves up a good meal, good lattes and fresh fruit smoothies. Service was excellent and we sat outside to soak up the sun on such a beautiful 'first day of fall' day.
