Maya Norte is an excellent Spanish and Mexican Tapas restaurant in Ladysmith. We enjoyed a quiet meal on the back patio with efficient, friendly service. The scallops ceviche and Spanish ribs were highlights of an all round great tapas meal.

Pompous owners. Terrible service. They cater to the local friends when they are customers. Bathroom was disgusting.

No control over the ambience. It was so loud that we could not even talk. We were a family of 4 they only cared about the table of loud women who were definitely drunk and it seems that the owners only cared about them because it was a big group. Several people left and the owners only cared did not give a shit.

Don’t know how this hole stays in business. Won’t be for long.

Had a great evening here earlier this month. Excellent Tapas selection, all very tasty... and then delicious desserts. Lovely atmosphere and staff. Pity we live so far away!

What a gem - authentic fusion of Spain and Mexico, the ambience is incomparable to anywhere in the area for a date night or a “getaway” from PNW weather… Victoria Tapa bar vibes but more intimate. The dedicated owners and staff prepare beautiful food and service, whether summer on the patio or cozy inside, you can’t go wrong. Order multiple flavorful plates to share, or try in a tequila flight with a nice array of Mexican beers to pair… highly recommend! Oh and house made tortillas

My daughter and I came in here for Mama daughter date night and everything was spectacular. The fusion between Mexican and Spanish was put together perfectly, the staff are very attentive and polite, and they are very knowledgeable on the cultures that the food is created from. There was absolutely nothing less than Perfection from our experience. I definitely highly recommend this restaurant!

First time for our family of 4.
Hibiscus margaritas were amazing….
Actually, everything we had was amazing.
Chips and guacamole, bacon wrapped dates, baked Brie, meat balls, calamari, scallops, shrimp tacos, corn fritters and Maya style tres leche cake.
Highly recommend.

Impressive selection of tequila but I don't drink a lot. Tapas were ok; on the pricy side; neighboring pizza place had me think about pizza and the small portions did not help that.
