A wonderful bakery, famous for their luscious cinnamon buns and atmosphere. In addition to breads and various cakes, pies and pastries, they serve light café fare lunches and coffee too. We always stop here on our our way up or down Island. Staff are friendly, helpful and efficient. 4 stars on service, only because there is always a 10-15 minute line-up due to its popularity. Notes: (free) street parking can sometimes be hard to find in that area so plan to walk a block and its best to go early as some items sell out by early to mid-afternoon or order on-line for quick pick-up to reserve your items and avoid the line.

I had the cream cheese cinnamon bun and coffee. The coffee was good and the cinnamon bun delicious, although didnt find it very cinnamon forward. I also got the cranberry orange which l devoured next day. It was delicious! I would highly recommend the cranberry orange.

This saddens me to say, but the quality has suffered. We make a point to pick up Cinnamon Buns on the way to the ferry to bring to family on the mainland. We also include old town bakery as a must stop in our recommendations to our guests. The last few times, honestly, the cinnamon buns were hard and crusty and dry on the bottom halves. We alwasy get sliced almonds and they're practically non existent. The first 2 times we attributed it to everyone is off their game from time to time. But the 3rd time .....
Sadly, also, we ordered online for expediency, but when we arrived there was little line, and we were much earlier than anticipated, so instead of waiting 25 minutes for the delivery window, we waited in line for 3 minutes and when we got to the front, we asked if we could just get the order.
They made it quite unconfortable that we even asked. Like we made some impossible requst rather then what would be the equivlent to anyone off the street.
I still hope this is a one or two or 3 off....

One of my favourite places to visit. Every pastry I’ve tried has been amazing like their cinnamon buns, Nanaimo bars, and my personal favourite, their gingerbread cookies. I have yet to find a gingerbread cookie that even comes close to theirs. The atmosphere is so cozy inside as well. If you’re in the area, stop by. No matter the line size you won’t regret it
