Last Friday adventured into a wine tasting at Backyard Vineyards in Langley, as you go in you find yourself on an elegant and beautiful room. Bibi the lady that approached and welcomed me asked which wines I wanted to taste, I decided to go with the 2022 Neighbour series, white, rose and red, tasted as well their Syrah and Cabernet Franc, cannot complain about any of the wines very easy to drink, all have their own character and can be paired easily with several dishes. As my conversation continued with Bibi, she asked me if I wanted to taste any other wines and decided to go with the 2018 Reserve Syrah and 2020 Cabernet Franc, the wow factor came on. The wine tasting came to a higher level and Bibi was able to explain the characteristics of each wine which matched my tasting experience. Wonderful experience not only because the great wines I tasted but what is most important the service provided by Bibi, the lady working at the tasting room. Fantastic wines! We did the Social wine tasting followed by a charcuterie board. Everything was delicious, the staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the setting is cozy and charming. I'm already planning my next visit and highly recommend this winery.

Had a very enjoyable and educational visit to Backyard Vineyards as part of my son's 19th birth celebration. Learned so much, loved learning about the different types of wines and of course the tastings! Plan to return whenever we are in Langley.

Excellent food, nice layout, it was raining but the outside patio looked inviting. Wide selection of Canadian wine. I'm sure it has lots more, just to full to wander. Very clean. Nice drive into solitude. Lots of parking.

We were really disappointed with our experience here. I called ahead to confirm that the vineyard was pet friendly and was told yes, but what they didn’t mention is that dogs are only allowed in the picnic area, which has no table service—something we only found out after arriving.
We got there around 4:00 PM, hoping to enjoy some food and wine, but were told that food service was over. Strangely, we watched a server bring food to the next table shortly after. When we asked, we didn’t get a clear explanation.
It felt misleading and poorly communicated. We were excited for a relaxing afternoon, but instead left frustrated and unwelcome. Would not recommend unless you’re okay with unclear policies and being treated differently

We went to backyard wineries this weekend, the service was fantastic! The winery itself is beautiful with tons of outdoor seating and the wine is delicious. I wish I could remember our servers name, she was fantastic and so friendly, provided us with some great recommendations as well.

I had a party of 11 women pop into Backyard, unannounced, and was greeted by the friendliest, most accommodating, group of staff at any winery in town. They quickly set up for us to have a tasting (despite them being quite busy) and were patient with our crew. The wine, of course, was delish but the experience with the staff is what set them apart! We will all be back! Thank you so much for making our day!

Great environment, especially outside! Friendly staff and good wines. I wouldn’t bother ordering food here though: we bought the $18 chips and guacamole but ended up getting a tiny supermarket pre-packaged kit with poor quality guacamole. Same for the pretzel.
