Banchan Korean Bistro 반찬

Kimchi stew was hot and authentic here. It is bit more spicy and salty side but that is the way I like it. Side dishes were decent and we liked the atmosphere of the place. Pork belly rice was ok, it was also spicy. Place felt cozy and neat. We would come back for quick Korean food if we are in the location.

I recently visited this restaurant with my husband, my mother, and our 11-month-old daughter. While the food itself was genuinely good and well-prepared, the overall experience was overshadowed by the service.

Throughout our meal, a staff member repeatedly walked past our table, staring at us and making uncomfortable faces at my baby simply because some food had fallen on the floor — which, as any parent knows, is completely normal behavior for a child that age. Instead of offering help or even ignoring it, her expressions felt judgmental and made us all uncomfortable.

It’s disappointing, because the kitchen clearly knows what they’re doing, but the service left a lot to be desired. A little kindness and understanding would have gone a long way. Unfortunately, the way we were treated took away from what could have been an enjoyable family meal.

Ordered take out and the Kimchi completely gone bad. Food is not impressive neither. Called the store and they say other Kimchis are fine.

What a horrible customer service. Ordered delivery. Called to ask about the progress of the food because it's been so long that the preparing sign didn't change. The server who answered the phone was already rude and frustrated about why I was calling. And when the food arrived, I called to ask about some ingredient which looked like it didn't belong in the Bibimbap because my child has allergies and the server who answered the phone was again rude about giving me the information. I could hear the woman in the back talking badly as they spoke Korean and I understood it. Then, the staff hung up the phone. I used to go here and met a wonderful server before who was kind and helpful. I will never recommend this place nor will I order any food. Please learn some manners.

Oh and I asked no mushrooms please but they did add it anyhow.

Odri was super amazing, she gave ys such a good experience. She deserves a raise. This is the first place i am forced to give a review because the food and Odri was superbbbb❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Did not know the kimchi bowl was spicy. Took one bite and got a beef bowl meal instead. They still charged me for the spicy kimchi. Vast majority of places do NOT charge you if you only have one bite.

I did not know kimchi was spicy. They need to put spicy in the menu for people who do not know or a chili pepper to indicate spiciness.

Shame because the rest of the food was good like the garlic chicken.

went to order online and order was not accepted. when i called in, they said they will no longer serve me or my family anymore as ‘we are never satisfied with the food’. theyre remark is based on mistakes made by the kitchen multiple times and they never took responsibility for it. their dishes are delicious, prices are reasonable but their kitchen is not consistent and the mistake is now on me. the only time they’ve taken accountability is when they offered us a comp meal our next trip there, but even since then, mistakes have been made and not owned up. examples include:

1. spicy beef tofu soup had no beef in it, only seafood. if no beef is available, i should have been contacted in case i do not eat seafood. i only found out once i got home n was ready to eat. no accountability on their end was taken.

2. seafood noodle soup had bugs in it and they said it was part of the dish… just baffled.

we’ve always liked this place but recently due to kitchen changes, they have not been the best. very disappointed in the outcome of their decision to no longer serve us as it is not the customers fault that their kitchen is not up to par & service is not well managed.

My BF and I were really impressed y the food here. The seafood pancakes are very crunchy on the outside and the inside is so soft. The Bosaam is also great!

Very delicious banchan, and all the dishes were fabulous. One of the best Kimchi Jjiae I've ever had. House Kimbap was delicious too

✨💕 first of all… PRAISE 🙌✨💕 this restaurant, ban chan in langley korean bistro, is nothing short of a MIRACLE. 💖 i walked in sick 😔… broken 💔… tired 😩… and i walked out HEALED 🙏✨. i’m not kidding, i went straight to the hospital after and the doctors said my disease was GONE. COMPLETELY GONE. 🥹🙌💃

the food?? 😍 a blessing. the flavors?? 🤩 heaven-sent. the love in every dish?? 💕💖💕 life-changing. i can’t share my sickness because it’s personal 😌 but just know this: this restaurant saved me. 💕🙌✨
