My wife and I had dinner with friends last night at Beatniks. I had the special, Steak Frites. My wife had a seafood dish with pasta. My meal was excellent and one of our friends had the same meal. Mine was medium rare, and his was medium. Mine was done as I asked, and I could see my friend cutting his, and clearly it was more cooked and looked like he asked for it. Their chef knew how to cook the meat. My wife's dish was large, and will be having a very nice lunch today. She loved the dish and commented to the amount and variety of seafood in the pasta.
We had come early, and it was quiet, so we lingered and had a wonderful visit with our friends. The servers were efficient, friendly and non-intrusive.
We had a great night.

We hosted our company holiday party here and it was exceptional. The service was absolutely spectacular. Both the General Manager and our waitress were so friendly and attentive to our group. We were a big group and they communicated the flow of the evening to all of our guests (e.g., start with cocktails and appetizers, dessert will be served as platters for our group, etc). The food was delicious. We were a big group and used their room right outside the bathrooms -- this was a great space that allowed us to feel part of the ambiance of the restaurant and still have a sense of an intimate space that was ours.

I ordered avocado toast and for $18 I got I slice of toast with 1/4 of the avocado and 1 egg with some spinach. Did not came with any sides. It’s not worth $18 at all. Im so disappointed with the quantity after finishing the food. I was still hungry.

I often go there with my friends for lunch … Food is becoming mediocre, always the same, menu did not changed for years , kinda boring. Our server Megan was so rude and with attitude, made us feel so uncomfortable. This wasn’t first time , she didn’t get a tip this time and we will go somewhere else next time.
Such a lovely restaurant. You should try chicken wings.
