I had a very disappointing and upsetting experience at Big Meat Shop. When I first visited, the staff clearly told me that the chicken they sell was Halal, so I purchased and consumed it for almost two weeks believing it to be true. Later, when I visited the shop again to confirm whether their mutton was Halal, I was shocked to find out that only the mutton is Halal and the chicken is not.

This is a serious issue, it’s not just about food, it’s about religious sentiments and trust. Misleading customers in such matters is extremely irresponsible and unacceptable. People rely on the information given by staff, especially when it comes to something as sensitive as Halal.

I feel completely let down and disrespected as a customer. I will never return here and I would strongly advise others to be very careful and not rely on what they are told in this shop.

Have not had a flavour we didn’t like!!! The best flavour, mmm we enjoy the chilli-lime, tandoori with the mint chutney, especially if it is cooked in the shop!! Who are we fooling it’s all good!! Samosas the best ones that Shoo cooks!! Try it you won’t be disappointed!!!

Everything we've had here is delicious! They even cook the protein in-store for you, if you like. The wings and marinated white fish are our favourites!

The website shows it will open at 11 am on Sunday. But it is still not open when visited the shop till 11.30 am. This is for the second time experiencing with the incorrect information

Bad experience

Shubh surely knows best customer service for all. Has always been a joy meeting him. Hes know all products well and is always ready for help. Great guy and a great shop!

Very very bad experience today with the service. The lady did all the work putting stuff at the back, and then touched the cooked chicken from the oven with the same gloves. When I asked, she did not even offer to re-cook rather she got mad at me saying this is normal and no big deal. They did re-cook it later when i said i don't want it.

Definitely have doubts about the cleanliness and the handling of the meat here.

Got raw chicken thighs to cook at home, the chicken smelled off and fishy. Cooked it thinking it would go away but it still smelled off. Do not buy raw meat from here.

I bought a goat from here on Monday, but the quality of the meat was very bad. It took 3 hours to cook, and when we ate it, the smell was terrible. Eating it was also difficult. We put in our time and hard work to prepare the meat, but it was a complete waste. The meat quality was extremely poor. I would never recommend buying meat from here again, and I will never purchase from here in the future.
