Went for happy hour and enjoyed a pitcher of the Pimm's cup cocktail with some yummy appetizers. Loved the outdoor patio space as well!

Decent food. Biggest bummer was the customer service we received today. The server/cashier was so rude. Pretty much left food on our table and threw a handful of plastic cutlery on the table while giving out proper cutlery to other tables. Staff should not bring their personal issues to work.
We approached her to ask if there was an issue, and she walked off saying “I am too busy.”
Manager on duty handled the situation very well though and resolved it fast.

The vibe is cool, decor is nicer than most cafes and bistros. Very limited food choices and lack of staff when we went. My London Fog was a little bit colder than normal, but tasted good. My pastry also tasted good, but the croissant was a little drier on some spots.
We went when there was live music playing...good vibes.

this is definitely a go-to spot! The atmosphere is good for working and I love sitting there with sweet treat (the lemon tart) and an iced coffee! All around good vibes!

The coffee and baked goods here are a cut above pretty much anyplace else. I take every opportunity I have, and any excuse I can find, to visit Blacksmith Bakery. This was my first time at this one, the Fort Langley location is a staple, and it didn't disappoint other than being out of my go-to items, but it just gave me the opportunity to try some new things! And they knocked it out of the park again.

10 minutes late opening this morning. For commuters in a hurry, this just forced my business elsewhere.
I love this place and I'm happy it's closer than the Fort Langley location. What this location would really benefit from is servers rather than cafe style. Getting your order is overly complicated and a hassle for the employees, who are incredibly kind, patient and hard working. I've never been disappointed with anything I have ordered but I am partial to the turkey sandwich and the salad (the dressing!!). My husband is always happy to come here too, for the chocolate cake. There's a reason it's always busy, because the food is really good! It just might be a location that requires a restaurant style of service.

The atmosphere was great, the staff was friendly, and the combination of the Truly Chocolate Cake and iced Americano was delightful. Next time, I should try other dishes, including pizza.

I love Blacksmith Bakery’s latte—it’s always my go-to. However, the vegetarian food options are very limited. The only main option is the mushroom burger, which was extremely greasy with too much butter and cheese, and I couldn’t finish it. I really hope they add more vegetarian options for people who don’t eat meat or eggs.
The wait time was also quite long—I waited around 25–30 minutes just for coffee and food. Overall, great coffee, but food options and service time could be better.

First time going there today. Four dollar drip coffee a tad pricey but it was worth it. Loved their breakfast sandwich as it was filling and tasty with the potatoes.
Had the avocado toast, was good except the poached egg was so over cooked. At the price point this should never happen

Not a good place to go to get work done. No wifi. No laptops allowed. Food and drinks are on the expensive end. Usually not heated very well and quite cold.
If you’re going to just hangout and chat it’s not bad - although it’s usually quite loud in there.
Would recommend Victory or Gratia instead. Nicer atmosphere, better service, better amenities.

They don’t allow any laptops, except at a small bar with a 1 hour limit and they don’t have wifi. This is fine, they say they want an “unplugged” atmosphere, just more signage would be nice so you know before you order.
Limited gluten free options, again this is fine, but good to know if you have dietary restrictions.
Probably won’t be coming back often because of these reasons.
They do have a lovely dog friendly patio!
