Chicko Chicken Aldergrove

Do not bother coming here. The owner changed from a korean manager to an Indian one recently. After that they somehow manage to mess up my order every single time. Twice already they failed to provide the padak sauce which is like ordering a dipped cone and getting a plain icecream without the dip. When I called to complain they asked both times to drive back to get the sauce myself. They were quite dismissive about my complaints even and barely apologized. As a Korean customer who orders a Korean-style chicken, I expect that I get what I order. Without the sauce I am basically being told to eat plain chicken with chopped green onions.

I feel sick after

Found out their secret they use frozen chicken sometimes, because I saw it sitting there already cooked and they put it into the deep fryer. Chicken that has already been deep-fried has a dark golden brown color, which was exactly what this was. I also saw them drop food onto the counter (counter looked rather dirty) and just put it into somebody’s order without discarding the piece that fell.
I ended up ill and threw up most of the night. I will never eat here again. Not as long as they keep up with the non existent health practices.

the batter is more edible than the actual chicken

Chickos has been our go to when we are craving fried chicken for a while. They are super consistent and always fresh. We love thier soy garlic, order some chives on the side and enjoy! It took less then 5 minutes for our order to be ready. And stayed nice after 20 minutes of driving home.

Ever since Mother and son left the food hasn't been the same unfortunately. No crispy thick breading and found skin on our order. I hope it improves like it was before.

Spectacular chicken. Best I’ve ever had. Came out from Manitoba for a wedding and stopped in for a quick meal. Seems geared towards takeout, but had some space to sit.
