Willoughby Town Centre is like a local mall, so it's quiet and clean. This DQ is clean too. I ordered ice cream and came out the store right away, so I'm not sure about the kindness of the staff or anything else.
Jonah gave me exceptional service. I would recommend this place just cuz of him. Guy deserves a raise and a promotion.

Worst customer service ever. There was something wrong with our order and the âmanagerâ basically called us stupid for not knowing something. They had the problem solving skills of a skittle. Would not apologize and blamed us for everything. Why would you change your food and expect us to know?

We werenât aware that not all their cakes come with their SIGNATURE fudge core. We were very disappointed, but the customer service made this experience much worse.
When we spoke to the girl there, she didnât seem to care whatsoever. She never heard us out and kept making condescending comments like âwell you shouldâve knownâ or âitâs not my fault you didnât askâ her tone and attitude was so passive aggressive from the get go. I honestly wasnât even upset at first but when I saw how she spoke to us and how much she didnât care, it made me very frustrated. She also refused to give me her name and their head office number, probably because she knew she was doing a horrible job. Not once did she actually try to help, and just kept on speaking over us. She said she is one of the managers there, but didnât even seem to know what she was doing.
They need to teach their management basic customer service skills because it is not hard to be nice. Their lack of care and effort to solve problems shows how little they care about their customers. Their solution to my problem is that I spend more money? The cakes are already expensive enough, why would I want to buy another one? And why would I want to support your business further after such treatment?
I understand this is a franchise but Dairy Queen really needs to consider who they partner with. Weâve always been very loyal customers of this company, but now I would never support it again.
Horrible all around, I donât understand how itâs still in business. Waste of space, to be closed down
Avoid at all cost! Worst management ever. Save your money and go else where, they donât deserve your time and business. Even McDonalds had better service. Ruined my Dairy Queen experience and I will never set a foot in this location or any other one.

Decided to stop in while out on a walk. The blizzard of the month is the Reeses Caramel Craze which happens to be a combination of my 2 favorite candies so of course that's that I got. It was delicious! My partner got the Skor Caramel Brownie and enjoyed it as well

Chrislyn, the Filipino cashier, did an amazing customer service.. she was patient and kind! Always cheerful making the place vibe lighter.. thank you so much! Appreciate you
The other two should learn how to smile a little. W the atmosphere, think it needs more lighting to make it a brighter and appealing..

My 70-year-old dad walked to this store to buy an ice cream cake for my birthday. He only had a $100 bill and no card with him. Unfortunately, the store refused to sell him the cake, saying they donât accept $100 bills due to concerns about counterfeit money. There was no sign or notice in the store informing customers of this policy. It was incredibly disappointing to see them turn away a paying customerâespecially someone who made the effort to walk there just to surprise me on my birthday. If they have such a policy, they should clearly communicate it. Weâll be going elsewhere in the future. Very disappointed with this experience.

Good customer service, great ice cream
If I could give zero stars, I would. My recent visit to this DQ location was disgusting. Me and my 10-year-old sister came here after a long day for ice cream and snacks, and instead we were subjected to the most humiliating, disrespectful customer service experience Iâve ever had.
This unsurprisingly involved the older gentleman who is still allowed to work front-of-house despite his long history of hostility. From the moment we walked in, this man made a deliberate point of ignoring us. We literally made direct eye contact, he 10000% saw us, and yet chose to tend to other minor tasks like slowly organizing utensils, pretending to check the screen, and dragging out time in the most passive-aggressive way. We literally saw other patrons being served promptly, while we stood there waiting for way too long.
When he finally decided to take our order, there was no greeting, no apology, or even acknowledgment. I only got through one item before I was interrupted and berated for not stating a size for an item I wasnât even ordering. I clarified I wanted a chicken wrap, not chicken strips and still, no apology, no correction, not even a sign of basic decency. After paying, he walked away without asking if we wanted the receipt or even confirming the order.
When we got our food, rather than handing items over like any other restaurant, this man slammed them down on the counter, one after another so aggressively, all in front of a literal child. When I politely asked for a bag, since our fries and strips had been served without one, he practically threw it at us. So loudly and aggressively that other customers literally turned to look. The entire ordeal was humiliating, disgusting, and borderline abusive.
The worst part is probably that this situation isn't even a one-off. Iâve had the misfortune of being served by this same individual on a handful of other occasions and despite treating him with nothing but politeness and respect every time expecting it to be better, he consistently goes out of his way to be dismissive, cold, and demeaning. To the point where before even entering the place today, I was already feeling apprehensive and definitely wouldn't have gone there if it weren't for the fact my younger sister enjoys DQ ice cream. Whether itâs a personal disdain for children, racial bias, or some other hatred for being in customer service, I don't know. But what I do know is that this kind of behaviour should not be tolerated. Not when paying customers are involved and especially not when children are subjected to it. A child should not leave an ice cream place feeling shaken and scared! I'm not sure how this can be tolerated at all when it's part of a pattern from the same employee who is still employed after over a year of this nonsense.
I will never be returning to DQ. Do better.

I usually don't leave reviews like this, but my recent experience was disappointing enough that it needs to be said. Thereâs an older man working at this establishment who consistently displays incredibly disrespectful behaviour toward customers. He seems irritated by even the simplest questions and lashes out with visible impatience and a poor attitude. It creates a very uncomfortable environment for anyone just trying to place an order or ask for help.
Even more concerning is his disregard for basic hygiene. I've seen him step outside to smoke during his break, and then walk straight back into the kitchen and begin handling food, without washing his hands. Thatâs not just unprofessional; itâs a serious health concern.
This kind of behaviour not only reflects poorly on the business but also poses a risk to customers. Itâs clear he has neither the temperament nor the standards required for this kind of work. For the sake of the businessâs reputation and the well-being of its customers, I strongly believe this individual should no longer be employed there.
Until this is addressed, I canât recommend this place to anyone.
