Golden Medal is hands down one of the best Chinese restaurants in Langley, and our recent visit for my mom’s birthday made it even more special. From the moment we walked in, we were treated like family. The service here is incredible—genuine, warm, and attentive without being overbearing. The staff went above and beyond to make my mom feel celebrated, which meant the world to us.

And the food? Absolutely phenomenal. Every dish was bursting with flavor, perfectly cooked, and served piping hot. The portions were generous, and you can taste the quality in every bite. The crispy duck was a standout, the dumplings were perfectly tender, and the seafood dishes were incredibly fresh. It’s the kind of food that makes you pause mid-bite just to appreciate how good it is.

What really set Golden Medal apart was the experience. They didn’t just serve a meal—they created a memory for us. If you’re looking for a place that delivers exceptional food and truly cares about its customers, this is it. Whether it’s a casual night out or a special occasion, you won’t be disappointed.

Ordered take out for the first time tonight. Wanted to try something closer to home as our usual place is in Brookswood. Ordering online was convenient and they were quick to prepare. We did family dinner for 3 plus an extra dish of the honey garlic chicken. Food lacked flavour and just honestly wasn’t good. Everything just tasted bland and off. No one finished their plates and we ended up tossing the rest of it. Would not order again.

Without a doubt, the WORST, and most DISAPPOINTING Chinese food I have ever experienced in all my life! SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!

-My family and I felt like vomiting after trying this place!
-Ordered the dinner for 3 for my family and a dish of Honey Garlic chicken.
-The beef in the chop suey tasted anything other than beef, with a rubber texture; not to mention it was discoloured and had a very unpleasant taste.
-All of the food tasted bland, greasy and disappointing.
-The veggies in the chop suey were well undercooked.
-All the chicken, beef and pork did not taste fresh.
-The chicken fried rice was bland. The chicken chow mein was also bland and greasy.
-Never have I had to throw out an entire and unfinished takeout dinner before (95% of the meal was untouched)…
-SPENT OVER 70$ JUST TO BE LEFT FEELING SICK AND FOR THE MEAL TO BE THROWN DIRECTLY INTO THE TRASH.

The restaurant may be called golden medal but the food and experience is not even worth a participation medal… Absolutely disappointing!

Ordered take out today and wasn’t impressed with the food. The wontons and noodles were packed with the broth and when we opened it up, everything was soggy. The other items were just bland and everything just tasted stale. We’ve eaten here before and it was good before. Quite disappointed
