It's a mixed food experience. Basic crepe is what I would only recommend.

Very small place and no circulation bacon smell in all restaurant.very hard to stay there
Found this purely by accident for a quick brunch - oh boy what a treat. Home cooked meals and at a really decent price. If you like a good old breakfast or lunch this is the spot, no burgers or fries, just down to earth simple finds. I enjoyed an all-day breakfast (2 eggs, choice of protein, served with pan fried potatoes, salad (yum home made dressing), fruit and toast. Honestly the salad in itself was delicious. My husband had a tuna panini which he said was really good. Not a fancy place, but small, clean and friendly basic neighbourhood style cafe. The refillable coffee was also a nice touch.

I walked in by myself at about 10:45am on a Thursday. There was only one other table in use so I was free to pick where I wanted to sit.
The woman behind the counter was very nice and polite. She gave me a menu and said I could just come and order whenever I was ready.
I got French toast that came with fruit and potatoes as my main breakfast, plus a side order of a couple scrambled eggs and brown toast for some healthier protein and grain, and finally a lovely 16oz espresso mocha to drink. All these items were brought out to me within 5-8 minutes, so almost no wait.
The food itself, while not exactly gourmet quality, was perfectly satisfying and I have no complaints whatsoever. Moreover, it must be mentioned how extremely affordable it was: my entire meal + an 18% tip came to roughly 27 or 28 Canadian dollars. This is only a little over half what I usually pay for a similar meal at a diner where I live.
Now, I am an American from New Jersey (a particularly expensive state) who's here on vacation and visited well outside of peak hours, so perhaps take my reaction to the price and quality of service with a few grains of salt, especially if you are a local. But still, altogether, this place was everything I wanted and more from a brunch café and I highly recommend it.

Tucked away in a old strip mall Hot and Toasty is somewhat short on atmosphere but long on flavourful breakfasts. Friendly and kInd staff serving you up something tasty to start your morning off right.
