This restaurant was very fun to go to. The chef makes all of the food; for a table of 8 people; right in front of you. He clangs and bangs the knives and spatula's together and lights food on fire for a great show. The food was very fresh and very tasty. The restaurant itself is very old and a bit run down, but the chef and food made up for it!

honestly disappointed. You are supposed to be paying high prices for entertainment. The chef entertainment was quite poor, with only the standard onion volcano and a single egg toss and crack when landing on their tools. Egg shell in the fries rice for one of the party members. veggies were 40% to 55% zucchini. Not worth the money. If you have a dietary restriction, they cook it in the back kitchen. They don't time your food to be with the table and you recieved your meal well before the table recieves a single item on their own plates making it awkward eating ahead of everyone. Will not come back here and would not recommend to anyone who asks if the experience was worth the cost. better experiences in Vancouver based establishments doing the same thing.

Katana was such a fun experience! The chefs put on an amazing teppanyaki show right at the table, and the steak and seafood were cooked perfectly. Great spot for celebrations lively, tasty, and memorable!

Visited for the first time tonight for a birthday. Most of the group were seated together one grouping and 4 of us were seated with strangers at the adjacent table.Not the best restaurant for socializing. The cooking show was decently entertaining, but it was a bit annoying to receive your meal in sections. Rice first, then meats, then veggies. About 10 mins between each. Portions are not very well maintained when cooking together for a group. The gentleman next to us kept getting shafted as the last served and got half as much rice and half as many scallops as I did. I would recommend the Steak & Shrimp. We upgraded the 2nd meal to Filet Mignon & Scallops, but it was not worth the extra cost. Filet Mignon was not as tender as the steak (and smaller) and Scallops were chewy. Overall it was a decent experience, but I don't know if I would come again just for dinner.

After paying over $200 they resturant staff came after me demanding a tip. It made me felt so uncomfortable. Never again will we come here. Tips are optional, they do not ask for them in japan

Kanatas langley what a huge disappointment..my friends husband preplanned a nice dinner for his wife the service was aweful the servers were actually rude and the food eh not like before... we won't be going back and ill be writing a bad review.
