The food was great but I was not a fan of the gender-neutral washrooms here. The idea is fine, but honestly, they were not clean at all. There were pee stains on the toilet seats and the floors looked messy. As a woman, it’s really uncomfortable having to deal with that and it is definitely not hygienic. I wish they’d pay more attention to cleaning and keeping the washrooms separate.

We had a reservation and yet it took them around 20 minutes to give us a table.The service was slow, We ordered dessert and before they brought it, they told us we had to leave because we had already been there for 2 hours (they took a long time to bring the food). We replied that they should have told us that before we ordered the dessert since we didn't want it to go.

We were excited to try the newly built King Taps in town! The location is amazing — right by the mall, so parking was super easy. The atmosphere was fantastic: open, vibrant, and beautifully designed with big doors and a great vibe.
One thing I really loved was the washroom concept — individual stalls with no male or female signs. It’s inclusive and practical — great for everyone, including transgender guests, or even parents accompanying their young kids. That thoughtful touch really stood out to me.
The staff were friendly and welcoming, and overall, the place has a really nice energy — definitely a good spot to hang out or unwind.
However, the food didn’t quite meet expectations. The menu feels very similar to what other restaurants already offer, and the dishes I tried — calamari, wings, and mushroom pizza — lacked distinct flavor and sophistication. I’ve had better versions of the same dishes elsewhere. My peach margarita was also quite sour, and the slush was coarse, making it hard to enjoy.
That said, I’d still come back for the atmosphere, inclusivity, and friendly service — but I’d limit what I order next time. It’s a great place to chill, but don’t expect too much from the food (for now!). Hopefully that will change, because this spot really does have great potential.

The couple we were with shared the French dip sandwich and asked for their own au jus when they ordered. One bowl came and they were told “we gave you extra jus in the one bowl” !?!? Then for their chicken cobb salad, they asked for a small bowl, again to be able to share and not have to keep passing one big bowl back and forth. Our server, janet, brought them a piping hot dip size bowl. It was beyond ridiculous since who wants to put their cold salad in a scalding dip bowl. and never came back to check on how things were. When we were ready to ask for the bill, we requested a take out box for the uneaten salad, well if the smallest box ever is what we were given. Disappointed all around other than the taste of the food.
