Mattu's Coffee & Tea

I love this coffee shop! Adorable atmosphere, plenty of seating room, delicious treats and coffee, and always great service. Im especially fond of their selection of treats. My partner and I come here at least once a week. Cold drinks in the summer, and tasty hot drinks the rest of the year.

Disappointing Experience – Good Coffee, Rude Staff

I visited Mattu's Coffee & Tea on October 10th around 6:30-6:45 pm with a friend, expecting a nice evening. However, our experience was far from pleasant. Shortly after we sat down and were chatting for just 7-10 minutes, the waitress approached us. Instead of a greeting or asking for our order, she abruptly said, "Are you guys ordering something, or else you can't sit here!" We were both shocked by her tone and the lack of basic courtesy.

When I politely questioned why she was speaking to us in that manner, she rudely insisted, "I ask everyone this, you need to order something or you can't sit here." While it's understandable that customers should order, the pushy attitude within such a short time frame was unacceptable. We hadn’t even decided on our order yet.

Feeling disrespected, my friend and I immediately left, vowing never to return. This was particularly disappointing, as I had been a regular customer for two years. To the owner: if you want to validate this incident, I encourage you to check your CCTV footage.

To others: Don't waste your time at a place where the staff treats customers like this.

This is where the party came in while taking a walk. Ice cream 1/2 off. Americano black is suitable. The service is just mediocre. There is no such thing as service.

They are charging higher prices than starbucks for coffee that is not that great, they survive being the only coffee shop in the immediate area but eventually their ridiculous prices will catch up to them.

I just discovered this place and area where it is located. Such a cute little place to walk around and shop a bit. Coffee at Mattu’s was really good. I have only been there once but I will definitely be going back. Might even take my laptop to where there!

I come here regularly for coffee, tea and apple strudel. Location is great and the hours are very convenient (10 PM). And their apple strudels are amazing!

I always come for my usual, brewed coffee, larger cup, extra cream and cran loaf. The quality and taste is the same every visit, while other places are not. The girls are always so kind and sweet, smiling and asking how day is. I do wish loads were cheaper as it adds up, but they're delicious lol it's now my fav spot to take me time for a coffee, snack and book. Keep it up ladies

To add, was in lastnight, there was a new girl learning still and she handled my card question/issue amazingly and was so incredibly sweet and helpful. It got super busy behind me and she handled everything so well. She was so apologetic and trying to do everything herself. She did great and her customer service was so amazing given the situation. Thanks for helping me with my card confusion!!! Coffee was delicious!
