I ordered take out, teriyaki chicken roles along with other items. My son went to pay for the order and they informed him the teriyaki chicken roles will be another 10 minutes. He paid for the order. I went into the restaurant with my son to confirm they were making the teriyaki roles and the worker confirmed. I asked if my son paid for the amount that was quoted on the phone and the lady said yes. We got home and noticed they gave me teriyaki chicken instead and charged me for it, which was $30 more than my order. I called the store and they refused to give me a refund after explaining to them there was a clear misunderstanding between both parties. The owner wanted me to bring the food back in order to get the refund. I asked what would she be doing with the food, the owner mentioned she would eat it. The most awful service I have received and this is the first time I have left a Google review. Will not be going to Noma anymore for sushi and we have been customers since the restaurant has opened. Will be looking for a new sushi place in Langley.
Replying to the owner, I called an hour after because when I checked my credit card the amount was different. When I came into the restaurant with my son your worker took the original receipt off my purchase, after I confirmed if the amount charged was $30, and she said yes. So I did not question it and I asked if the teriyaki chicken “rolls” were still being made and she also said yes.
My son confirmed he did not ask to make the teriyaki chicken instead was confirming if the teriyaki chicken rolls were in the order. Clearly there was a miscommunication and misunderstanding. Yes, we did find it odd why there was a teriyaki chicken included in the order and the rolls. However, because of the extra item in my order I checked my credit card and the charge was $60 not $30, and your worker did not give us a paid receipt when my son paid for the order so we didn’t know what was charged. If a receipt was given I would have questioned it. We knew it was a mistake and yes we did try the teriyaki and threw it away because it was not good. I was not going to drive back 20 minutes to your restaurant to complain so when I had a chance in the evening I called. The quality of the food in general was not good, and from I’ve heard the quality and service has gone down at Noma with the new ownership.
I was caught off guard when the owner asked to bring the food back, then she will give me the $30’refund and she will eat the food and not throw it away. Never have I ever heard anyone say that to me or anyone else I know in a restaurant business.
I spoke to your staff with respect and not once raised my voice. I just stated the facts and he seemed to agree with me but the owner didn’t. Bad service, food was low grade quality not like it used to be and bad owners not knowing how to retain clients.

OMG everything was sooo good!! 😍
The Teriyaki Chicken Salad was insanely tasty 😝😝. The chicken was so soft and flavorful. Salmon Oshi and Unagi Oshi were perfect, and the Tempura was super crispy! You can totally tell they keep their oil really clean, it tasted so fresh and light.
Their chili sauce wasn’t too sweet (finally😆), and the Salmon Sashimi was huge and buttery; iterally melted in my mouth 🤤
Amazing food, super nice staff, and I’m 100% coming back! 🍣💖💖

I recently visited Sushi Noma in Langley, and honestly, it was one of the best sushi experiences I’ve ever had. The quality of the fish, the freshness, and the presentation were all exceptional. Every bite tasted incredible — even the soy sauce and spicy sauce were so flavorful!
The rice was perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection, which really showed how much care goes into every dish. On top of that, the service was outstanding — everyone was so kind, attentive, and made me feel genuinely welcome.
For the quality you get, the prices are more than fair. It’s clear that Sushi Noma truly values both taste and hospitality. I can’t wait to come back again soon. Highly recommend this place to anyone who loves authentic, high-quality sushi! 🍣✨

Yesterday was my 4th time trying sushi Noma and second time eating in the restaurant. The food was tasty, but this time there were 3-4 flies swarming us at all times while we were eating. It was very unappetizing and really took away from the experience.
We had sushi here, it looked beautiful, but unfortunately the taste didn’t match the presentation. Overall, the sushi was just okay, nothing special. The service was also pretty average, almost non-existent.

Told us 25 minutes for our take out and then took a full hour, if you’re that busy that’s gonna take an hour to make a takeout order then have the decency to tell people, but it’s really frustrating showing up when your food is supposed to be ready only to have diamond customers show up while you’re waiting and watch them get their food served to them while you’re still standing there waiting

Noma sushi used to be our favourite suchi place close to our home. The food was amazing and our go to was the chicken teriyaki which was served with tons of vegetables on a hot plate. We would get a whole chicken breast sliced up and sizzling served to us, now they serve the chicken teriyaki in a small bowl with a couple of chicken pieces which have no takes, barely any veggies and quite tasteless to be honest. We liked the way it was served before we have not wanted to go back there since new ownership. I hope they reconsider and change the menu back to how it used to be because it was perfect before. The service also went down a little bit, we asked for drinks and after waiting 15 minutes we had to ask again. The music the previous owners played made the place feel like a great environment now its lacking environment
We sat on the bench and noticed many people coming and going from this restaurant. So we decided to try something, and it was Yummy! We had The Mango Tango Sushi. We will be back for sure. Bonus 20% off.

My girlfriend and I always use to eat here and it use to be amazing. Now the new ownership has taken over it’s gone completely downhill. We usually order the lunch special teriyaki chicken and it came in a really cute divided plate and tasted very delicious. Since new owners they took away the old trays and bring out 6 different plates with the food. The teriyaki is very small portions now with very little chicken and very little sauce, along with barely any veggies and rice below it. The teriyaki rolls barely have chicken and don’t taste like they use to. I also asked for chop sticks and it took over 15 minutes to receive. I asked for water and they never brought it to me. I would highly recommend finding a different place since new ownership has taken over this one. Sucks because this use to be number 1 on our list but not anymore unfortunately

Fresh sushi with great flavor and a nice variety of rolls. The staff are really friendly and the atmosphere feels cozy and welcoming. Prices are fair for the quality you get. A solid sushi spot in Willoughby. I’ll definitely be coming back!

New ownership. I appreciate the new items on the menu but Service gone downhill. I went into the restaurant, server asked if I’d like tea or water. I requested hot water. The server (Asian younger chubby lady, not the original older Japanese lady) insisted they don’t have hot water. This response is ridiculous because if you have tea you will have hot water. My daughter later joined me and she asked the original Japanese server and was given hot water. Also, my daughter was never given a place set. They also provided little to non wasabi. There are also fruit flies in the restaurant. As we ate, we had to swat them. This use to be my go to local Japanese restaurant after today we will think again twice before going.
