I had the cauliflower cheese soup, it was ok but not hot enough and too much thyme. The chai latte and cheese scone were very good.

Such a unique, quaint spot in Murrayville. It's like stepping back in time. Lunches looked amazing. We had tea and home made pastries. The coconut macaroons are definitely a reason to return. Moist and delicious. The blueberry scone did not skimp on fruit and the cinnamon knot was very flavorful. Tea served in teapots. Staff were friendly and helpful. The eating area had small, intimate tables with tablecloths. Small store with reasonable prices. We'll be back!

Porter's is a wonderful bistro. The servers have always been kind and hospitable, the coffee and drinks are better than I've had at any other café, and I've enjoyed using this space to study. The food choices are a bit limited, but I've enjoyed all my meals.

Best breakfast in the Vancouver area, congratulations! , great attention, a warm and well-segmented space that allows you to chat comfortably and observe the surroundings, the rich coffee, the contrast in the rich chocolate, the salmon in its hollandaise sauce with the creamy egg gives it a very special texture and flavor, the "bowl" container is very well balanced and the cinnamon roll, what can I tell you, good!!!

Visited twice in 2 days which says it all, both times were for breakfast.

Really lovely location, with a great setting and quaint decor. Would be nice for a meal of just for tea and cake.

The food was delicious, I had the PY breakfast (eggs your way, a choice of bacon, sausage or ham with hashbrowns and toast) which was delicious and the next day I had the omelette which was best omelette I've had.

We enjoyed two very delicious breakfasts and lattes.
Kim's came with farmers sausage and mine with breakfast sausage.
Both were great examples of their respective kinds.
The eggs were well executed and the sour dough toast was great for dipping.
Mine came with fluffy, delicious pancakes. The addition of the warmed syrup took it over the top.
It's a busy little place, so there's a bit of a wait for your food...but it just gave us time to enjoy our lattes and chat.

Perfect place for a basic, affordable breakfast on a rainy day. The place is packed full of artful creations and art work. The instant smell of fresh bread and aromatic coffee can not be topped, not to mention the sound of families and friends clearly enjoying themselves! I had the 13 dollar and change breakfast that was delicious. Unreal sourdough toast and delicious hashbrowns. Farmers sausage was cooked perfectly and my Sunnyside up eggs were just as I had hoped. My gf ordered the 12 dollar and change pancake breakfast and was equally as pleased with everything on her plate minus the pancakes. They were without a doubt edible but bland and tasted like mix. The peanut butter cookie bar/square we purchased to go was stale, crumbly and disappointing. Again, this will not stop us from enjoying this incredibly cute, quaint, homey, aromatic and "general store-esque" breakfast stop in the near future. Overall, the perfect spot to wait out the rain or kill a couple hours enjoying friends company over a delicious cup of coffee. Tons of art to ponder. Looking forward to re-visiting on a live music day.
