Food was okay, but the service was awful. They spilled food on the table, didn’t replace it, and one dish came 20 minutes late. No manners at all. Never coming back.

The waitress was the sweetest but unfortunately we waited half an hour for our meals but the worst part was using the bathroom and SEEING 2 MICE NEAR THE KITCHEN!!!

Reading the last few weeks of reviews I see that I am not alone. My wife and I attended for dinner recently. The place had maybe 4-5 occupied tables. We were seated outside, and it took our waitress 20 minutes to even come over and take a drink order. Since we had waited so long, she took both a drink order, and our food order. We ordered a draft beer, and a mixed cocktail. We waited for nearly 30 minutes, no beer, no drink, no food.
We eventually got up and left. Im assuming that the bar/kitchen is shared with the pub next door, but thats not an excuse to not be able to get a beer and a rum and coke out to a table at 5pm. We went to Wendel's instead, and had a much better experience and likely a much better tasting dish based on the reviews of the food here.
Not sure if management has changed lately, but that was a terrible experience. I dont really care if my menu is on non-lamented paper, but if youre going that route, perhaps re-printing them every few days should be an option. Both my wife and I's menu looked like a piece of paper that had gotten soaked in the rain and then dried into a crumpled mess. Couple that with the old men blowing their nose and horking lougees in the table behind us (im aware that isnt the restaurants fault), and we couldnt have got out of there fast enough.

Overall a poor experience. Service wasn’t the best/ was barely checked on. Our food took nearly an hour to come out. Chicken didn’t taste the best. Not sure if we got caught up on one of their bad days but just wasn’t a fun or even a standard experience.

My husband and I thought we'd try somewhere new and decided on Rail and River Bistro. We had looked up the menu online and noticed they had some Tuesday specials (tacos & margaritas) that were of interest to us. When we were seated and given menus, there was no mention of the specials which were on their website. My husband asked about it and the server said oh ya we could order the specials. I guess if you don't check the website you get stuck paying full price? My husband ordered the tacos and I ordered the Woodstock, which is a vegetable sandwich. Both were subpar. My husband's tacos literally only had a piece of fried fish in a tortilla with some salsa on top. Nothing else. I've never seen such a plain taco. He was unimpressed. My sandwich was also subpar - it was soggy, missing the avocado, and seemed like it had been pre-made. It was very unappealing. In addition, there were several fruit flies in the restaurant, which was annoying. I paid the cheque and didn't notice until after that she didn't give me the Tuesday price for my margarita, but it wasn't worth the hassle to go get a couple dollars back. $75 could have been much better spent elsewhere, what a disappointment.

We ordered four items - mushroom soup, nachos, a fish burger, and kids’ pasta. Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. The mushroom soup had an awful taste, the fish burger was smelly, the nachos were burned, and the kids’ pasta came out spicy (we had to send it back to be replaced).
The worst part, however, was the service. Our server seemed upset about something, which of course isn’t our place to fix, but it affected the experience. She never checked on us, didn’t return to see if we needed anything, and when it came time to pay, we couldn’t even find her. In the end, we had to ask another server to help us settle the bill.
We live in Langley, and they’ve lost a lifelong customer. We certainly would not recommend this place to anyone.

I asked for a glass of water got a jug but no glass🤦♀️ we left hungry angry and very disappointed . Luckily we walked up the road went to a place called Trading Post Eatery! So good !great atmosphere and fast service! Did I mention Rail and Rivers ambiance was a 0 at best!

The description of the food on the menu did not match what we got. We address this and they said that they just ran out and served us something different and assured us that we would be receiving a discount on a meal then they messed up to the third meal. Through all of this, the server was telling us how it was not her fault and the Kitchen‘s fault. In the end, she told us that the manager said they will not be discounting us and that she got mad when she found out that was promised very unprofessional. You can go to the fort pub, which is literally attached to this and get a much better experience.

Went here the other day with a group. My food was okay, I wouldn't recommend the chicken burger. Everyone else said their food was great though. Service was good but at times slow. When we got the bill, she had forgotten to charge us for the Monday burger deal, so it's a good thing I noticed that. She reprinted the bill but I noticed that for some reason, the PST went up $1.50 even though the bill went down $10. That doesn't seem right, and is very shady. The PST should have gone down and our bill should have been even lower. I know it's not the servers fault but the owners must think customers don't pay attention to that stuff...

Had a wonderful surprise at Rail and River when the chef invited us to try his new oyster mushroom calamari dish. The creativity and execution were impressive - the mushrooms (cooked in beef tallow) genuinely captured the texture and flavor of real calamari. You could tell the chef was passionate about this unique spin on a classic. Looking forward to seeing this dish on the regular menu! Also enjoyed my beef dip, and the service was great.
How does that sound? Feel free to adjust it to better reflect your experience.

I cook a lot and I'm often disappointed with food when I eat out. We shared a macaroni and cheese as a snack and were blown away. Very happy to recommend. They had a kids menu and we're lovely to deal with.

Bistro Fort Langley has a picture perfect and relaxing environment. I was impressed with the sizeable flower arrangements.
The food was good enough for me to want to come back for a second round.

What an incredible menu! I had the Poké Bowl and it was perfectly balanced. I wish I took a photo. The baby high chair needs some strap repair though, a baby is going to fall through that thing! But they were so baby and kid friendly. The onion ring tower was like, my favourite. Such a diverse menu, something for everyone is there. The Cesar drink was dope, too.
Suzie was so accommodating and attentive. Made my friend's 94th birthday very memorable. We'll be back!
The food was amazing and service was really good. Nice place to spend evening with friends and family!
