Wen to this Persian eatery years ago and it was okay, but we go to others like Avishan despite their higher costs. Kerwin Maude
Great service and food! Never really had Persian food before so decided to give this place a try after hearing good things. The staff was quick to greet us and help, and there was no ridiculous wait time (given the fancy decor I was a little concerned this will be a more ‘relaxed, social’ place) but the food arrived warm and delicious!
Shiraz Grill is one of the great restaurants in lower MainlandThe beef kebab is so tasty and tender
This was my first time at Shiraz. The owner was so friendly and really made me feel at home. My partner and I shared the Shiraz special. Normally I am very picky about shrimp, but these prawns were some of the best I ever had. We ended the meal with Persian ice cream and sticky toffee pudding. It was a great and overall affordable meal for two. Will definitely come back next time I am in Langley!
Pathetic and rude service. We left even before the food came!!I think she was the owner who was rude. They accidentally brought calamari to our table. And then took it away rudely. When we complained she was rude again and we asked for our order to be cancelled. In reaction she said 'get out and never come here'I have NEVER been treated like this EVER in my entire life.
This is a beautiful restaurant with great quality and great service. You always feel welcomed and I never had bad food there. The kababs are done perfectly and taste unbelievable! The meat is so tender and nicely flavoured. I would highly recommend to go. We are lucky to have Shiraz in Langley !
Really enjoyed the food and service of Shiraz! The restaurant is next to a small plaza. We ordered the mirza ghasem as an appy and for mains, we had chenjeh kebob and chicken kebob. The portions are very generous and the meat was very tender! The owner also came by to chat and she was extremely friendly. Looking forward to returning here next time we’re in Langley!
Fresh ? salad, Kabab marination ?is amazing and the floor manager is friendly.
The lady who owns and manages this place should not be in the customer service business. I was trying to enjoy dinner with some friends and she kept hurrying us - despite the fact the place was nearly empty. She drops to-go boxes on our table and starts clearing our plates while we were still eating. We politely asked her why we were being rushed even though the service was so slow, her response "If you don't like it, never come back." Unbelievable.
A very lovely restaurant in Langley! We went to Shiraz Grill for an early Sunday evening dinner. The place is very spacious, clean and nicely decorated. We were warmly welcomed and were sat at a table near a window. They offered "specials of the day" with several very good choices. The menu was very interesting in the sense that the offerings were a selection of Persian dishes and Italian dishes...somewhat unusual, but not displeasing. Since I had intended to introduce my guest to Persian food, after an excellent eggplant dip appetizer, we selected the Shiraz Special, offering a variety of skewered beef, chicken, ground beef and prawn kabobs with rice and salad. Alcoholic beverages were offered, although we chose to not partake. The dishes arrived promptly, beautifully presented and hot. All items tasted wonderful and we thoroughly enjoyed the variety offered. The service was very attentive and pleasant without being intrusive. The final bill for our dinner was reasonable and on par with restaurants of similar caliber. We did wind up with a large "doggy bag" to take home as we seemed to have ordered more than we could consume in one seating.Other patrons came in as we were about to finish our dinner so it is a good sign that it is a well frequented establishment. We did not have reservations, but I would probably suggest calling ahead if wanting to head there on a Friday or Saturday evening. I would definitely recommend paying Shiraz Grill a visit...whether you feel like Italian or Persian.

A restaurant should offer an enjoyable experience with the right combination of good food, good atmosphere, and good service. Shiraz does not fit any of these simple criteria.I ate at Shiraz with some friends mid July, as we enjoy sampling ethnic foods. Shiraz offers Persian style food so we drove to downtown Langley to try it.We were greeted (and I use that word loosely) at the door by an older woman (who we believe to be the manager) who bragged about how good the food was - which we thought was rather odd. Most of the tables were empty, and she kept rushing us. It took a long time to get a menu, place our order, and have the plates served, We were only half done eating our mediocre meals when she comes stomping by with to-go boxes and instructs us to hurry up as she is expecting more guests. One of my party pointed out that the place was virtually empty and why should we rush when the service was so slow. Her response - If you don't like it, you can leave. We all sat there in disbelief, paid our bill (without a tip!) as soon as we could and never felt a breath of air so fresh as when we walked out on the street.Never again. Shiraz failed us in all respects.Anybody who is leaving more than two stars for Shiraz is delusional.
Downtown Langley is a convenient place for me and my friends to gather for an occasional dinner out. We tried it once, never again. The only thing memorable about this place is how rude the server was.
The owner/manager at Shiraz is quite possibly the rudest person I have ever met. I suspect the good reviews on here have been paid for by the restaurant as I can't imagine how somebody could rank this place any higher than 1 or maybe 2.
The food was not good at all, despite what some people say on here. The server took forever to bring water and drinks, then had the gall to inform us that there is a time limit. Rudeness and arrogance permeates this place. From management on down they think they are the only restaurant in town. Not going back here. Ever.
We cannot describe how good this place and food is. This comes from having travelled to many countries and experienced fine cuisine. Between Nancy delivering such a good service and the perfect balance of the food that is prepared you simply cannot find this anywhere else.
