Star Lake Chinese Restaurant

The food here is great, but the service leaves a lot to be desired. The lady at the front is consistently unprofessional—she spends time watching videos on her iPad instead of helping customers and always seems grumpy. It really takes away from an otherwise good dining experience.

I placed an order on door dash. When bank statement came I found that the amount charged was alot bigger than the receipt for what I got. Big big rip off.

Ordered delivery, their website has the best online ordering menu I’ve seen. Easy to order and lots of photos.

Portions were decent and the food was as good as any Chinese food I’ve had locally. We had a lot of leftovers. Would for sure order from here again next time. Only complaint would be the photo shows 2 egg rolls but the order is for only 1.

Always ordered from here because the food has always been excellent . Tonight.. ordered just before 6pm, they called and said it wouldn't be delivered until 7:15.. ok.. no problem. 8pm.. called again.. said ya don't bother. No offer, no message, no phonecall, email, nothing. You just lost a customer.

We ordered food online and it arrived nice and hot! What we ordered was really good. The portions are quite large - we had leftovers for several days!

Been eating and ordering from here for 20 years. Had delivery today and the food was notuceably better than it used to be. Grea
t rice, well cooked beef and broccoli; really well executed!

I wish I could give a zero. We ordered online at 530 waited an hour and thought maybe we should just go in. Drive down and walk into to the craziest restaurant ever. 10 people waiting for orders, staff telling customers they don’t know when their order is coming. Staff giving out wrong orders. Then the back staff and the front staff had a full on breakdown yelling and screaming at each other. This will be my last time coming. I waiting over 2.5 hours for my food. Just craziness.

Best in langley by far

Surprised at how good our food was, I have had to lower expectations when getting take out over the last few years. These guys hit all the flavors we were looking for. Honestly a bit pricy but what isn't these days.will be back.

I’ve ordered from this place on door dash several times now. Very delicious food! sweet and sour pork is always crispy and amazing. They have great deals. Easy to order just for 1. Definitely recommend Star Lake!

Food is decent but the service has fallen off a cliff. The online ordering was the saving grace but even that became a shit show

The food that I ordered was good, however, I was very disappointed on how overpriced and small the portions were considering I paid $80 for a dinner for three which there would be no seconds for anyone.

I’m sure there’s better options in Langley for Chinese food I would avoid this place. I don’t think they care.

While I was there, I used the bathroom and noticed that the toilet probably hadn’t been cleaned in months. Unfortunately, my food had already been ordered and paid for.

Next time it’s pizza, I don’t think I’ll return here and after seeing the reviews now, and noticing that the ownership doesn’t care to reply to anybody, I don’t think they care too much of what people think and I definitely won’t be spending my money here again.

So we wanted to give another Chinese place a shot and we finally gave into star lake. I had really low expectations. Ordering was fine but when we went to pick up the restaurant it had a very musky weird smell inside. No big deal as we got take out. The one thing that totally made me feel sick was that the south Asian young lady came from the kitchen licking and sucking her fingers like she ate something. Then she answers the phone and hands me the bags of food to me. Yuck! I didn’t want to say anything not to be rude and I had a hungry family to feed. But that’s not sanitary at all.

The food was meh, but I’ll give the crispy ginger beef a thumbs up and kids enjoyed the sweet and sour pork. The pan fried noodles were hard and you could tell it wasn’t fresh.

The litmus test for me is going for seconds or thirds and then saving the food for the next day, but this time after having the picture of the lady sucking her fingers I had to throw it away.

Worst dining experience I’ve had in a long time.
