This Starbucks location has reached a new low in both hygiene and professionalism. Instead of addressing real concerns from paying customers, it appears certain individuals, (employees), are more focused on discrediting legitimate complaints. One particular review written by someone named “Robert Gardner” reads less like a customer review and more like damage control from someone on the inside.
Why would an average customer accuse them of using multiple accounts, and claim to have witnessed something about a drink that was clearly ordered through Uber Eats delivery service? There’s no physical way to observe what the customer allegedly “did” to the drink when she wasn’t even present in the store. It’s deeply troubling and raises red flags about how this store is being run and by who. Absolutely incompetent individuals. The math isn’t mathing but neither are the brains are of the staff at this location
The fact that the employees have time to sit down and accuse a real customer instead of, I don’t know, FIXING or actually CLEANING the disgusting drink prep area? Yeah, that says it all
Instead of investing time and energy into cleaning the visibly filthy drink prep area, or improving customer service, there seems to be more effort put into silencing and gaslighting the people who are calling it out. Responding to serious complaints with “😋” emojis and dismissive comments shows an astonishing lack of professionalism. They will also respond “😋” to my review because that’s the only thing they know how to do instead of learning some basic hygiene practices. They can’t even read basic instructions on the drinks and make them correctly so what do you even expect from these people anyways.
This location needs to be inspected and held accountable. Cleanliness is absolutely negligible at this place. Until standards improve drastically, avoid this place. It’s gone from being a Starbucks to something more like a Tim Hortons 2.0

This is hands down one of the most disgusting things I've ever witnessed in a food establishment. I saw an employee, Lacey on nametag, blatantly pick her nose while preparing drinks and then continue without washing her hands. No gloves. No sanitizer. Just back to handling cups like it was nothing.
I genuinely stood there in shock. If staff are this unhygienic in plain sight, what's going on behind the counter? This isn't just gross, it's actually a public health risk. I immediately walked straight out. Soap exists for a reason. Use it.
Whoever's managing this location should be embarrassed. This is basic food safety

Shockingly incompetent staff with zero
professionalism. The place is unhygienic, poorly run, and staffed by people who openly laugh at customers and make discriminatory remarks, the irony while working minimum wage theirselves lol
The irony of employees judging others while displaying this level of immaturity and disrespect is unbelievable.

This is one of the most alarming experiences I’ve ever had with a food establishment.
I ordered a Venti Mocha Cookie Crumb Frappuccino with NO MOCHA and white chocolate instead, which is clearly printed on the label. Despite this, the drink was obviously made with mocha, meaning my order instructions were completely ignored. Not the first time this has happened too
While actively drinking the frappuccino, I discovered a foreign plastic/foil wrapper-like object inside the beverage. This is a serious food safety violation, not a minor mistake. I immediately stopped consuming the drink.
Due to the severity of this incident, I have reported this to food safety Canada.
Finding packaging material inside a blended drink raises serious concerns about sanitation, equipment handling, and quality control at this location. This could have easily been swallowed.
This goes far beyond a simple order error. Until there is clear accountability and improved safety procedures, I will not be returning to this location. Not sure what kind of people they hire at this location, but they are obviously very incompetent. IF you value your health and don’t want foreign objects in your drink, don’t come here

I had the most wonderful time at this Starbucks because of one singular person the worker named Lacey was SOOOO nice to me I was so happy afterward and the person who made my drink (i didnt catch their name) did an amazing job it tasted SOOO good. FIVE STARS!! will come again

I bought four gift cards from this store last week, $30×3 and $50×1. I checked the cards at a different Starbucks on my way home today as i forgot which card was loaded $50. I was told the amount was $30×2, $50×1, and $0×1. There is $0 on the card that I loaded $30. I went back to the first store where I bought these card, but they couldn't do anything, they couldn't give my money back. The only thing they could do was to tell me to call Starbucks. This sucks. It is not my fault, why I had to go through all the trouble? I don't even know whether I can get the $30 back after all this trouble. Luckily I checked the cards otherwise I would have given an empty card to someone as a gift:( will not go to this store again :(

Of course, because this is the Surrey/White Rock location in BC, it has a leg up on the rest of the world due to the people of this area being so lovely. But this particular coffee shop has great collection of staff. They are Personable, kind, polite, friendly... They know their regular clientele.. making them feel special.. oh yes, and the coffee was good too!☺️

Completely Wrong Order — You Can’t Make This Up
this Starbucks location messed up my order so badly it’s actually unbelievable.
I ordered a Grande Mocha Cookie Crumble Frappuccino with NO mocha.What did I get? A drink that is literally dark brown and FULL of mocha. You can taste it instantly. It’s the complete opposite of what I asked for.
Then it gets worse.
I also ordered a Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup… and they sent me a MID DAY SQUARE granola bar. Not even close. Not even in the same category. How do you mix up a peanut butter cup with a granola square??
Between the incorrect drink and the wrong food item, this is honestly the most disappointing order I’ve ever received from Starbucks. If you’re ordering through Uber Eats or mobile pickup, double check everything because this location clearly doesn’t.

Probably the only good thing going is being inside Canadian nicety Indigos, grab a book or magazine while waiting for overpriced drinks, especially their thermos bottles. $45?! What's world coming to these days.
