We love the Mad Italian, our daughter loves the pizza, the staff is very welcoming and friendly, excellent prices, great local beers. One of our favourite places!
We visited this place for dinner and tried Mediterranean and Margherita pizza. Mediterranean was good but the Margherita was extremely salty. We couldn’t eat it and had to leave it. We even complained about it to the cashier but they did nothing. It has a cute ambiance but with other better places available in the neighborhood, I don’t think we would visit this place again.

This pizza has it all: beautifully risen and delicately charred crust with a satisfyingly moist chew; a robust salinity accompanied by a gentle sweetness and mouthwatering sourdough tang; and an unadulterated Italian tomato sauce that offers the expected bright acidic contrast to the rustic dough.Beyond this there are thoughtfully procured cheeses and toppings offered in a dozen arrangements to satisfy any twisted curiosity.A fully equipped bar and a rotating menu of local craft beer, cider and wine keeps pairing libations fun.You will find me here on Tuesdays revelling in the joy of a perfect pepperoni pie and a cold beer for only $20. Great night at Mad Italian.1. The owner of the place sitted with me at the bar and we had a very nice talk, almost like we were old friends2. I give him a few ideas for creative pizza recipe and he went on to make one of the recipe and we tried it. He took my ideas and he added his personal touch. This pizza tasted amazing! (All their prizza are very good)3. The Friday crowd in that place are mostly composed of the regular customers, everyone kind of recognize eachother. It creates that local place vibe where regular and new customer meet and interact.4. The live music performances are composed of one or two people, piano man style. They are just a few feets away from pretty much everyone in the place. That makes the best live music experience because they are interacting so much with the crowd on a personal basis.5. Not long after the performer finished, the place emptied up. I was the only customer left in the place, sitting at the bar. All of a sudden I heard that incredibly beautiful voice singing just behind my head. I turned around and saw that shy teens girls (probably 16y old) cleaning the tables. Long story short, after me complementing her about her singing, she ended up sitting at the piano and basically offerings me a private performance.6. The most beautiful part of the night was when the place start to filled up again, with people carrying grocery bags or take out from other restaurants. People were coming in because they were attracted by the incredibly, amazing voice of that little girl that had overcome her shyness and basically been performing like a pro.Definitely "a feel good" kind of night. I went out just by myself but didn't felt alone one bit.
