She’s so rude I can’t believe it

I wish there was an option of giving zero stars.
The owner lady is very rude, found usually outside smoking with her shady looking friends.
Tried to approach the restaurant today by just casually passing by. As soon as I entered the parking lot this blond lady rudely pointed my car out of the parking stating “Venetis only”. All the other businesses in the same parking lot have actually a marked spot, this restaurant only has a hand written, self proclaimed spot. Not even sure if actually it’s the restaurant’s spot or not.
The lady assumed I am not trying to go to “her” restaurant probably as I’m south Asian and rudely asked me just get out of her lot.
Not even politely asking if I’m wanting to go to Venetis or guiding politely regarding parking spot distribution. This experience left sour taste in my mouth. Would never even would want to visit this place again if owners have such attitude.
Good luck keeping this place open for much longer with such poor communication attitude.
No wonder the restaurant’s parking spots were nearly all empty.

Pretty good meal, the atmosphere was very friendly and so were the staff. The parking situation wasn’t the best, but overall was a good place to enjoy a meal

Not bad pricing as well. Only 200 for 6 meals, starter salads and an drink for everyone.
Food was delicious and everyone was happy. Since all 6 people ate different dishes and were all happy..I'm happy.

The food was good, but nothing special. Portions were more than adequate. Pricing in reasonable. The service was good, very attentive, but at the same time there were errors with the orders. The restaurant is very dated, could use some updates, especially since there are no windows for natural light. Still an ok experience.

I’m visiting from Alberta and have been here twice with my friends Barb & Lionel who are regulars. Lisa, Arianna and staff are amazing and always so friendly and treat you like family and will tease when necessary!!
In this day and age of so much negativity it’s nice to go to a restaurant where you’re remembered and treated like family ~ thank you!!❤️

I’ve eaten here in the past, and while the food has been okay, it’s never been my first choice. Fast forward to this past Saturday, early afternoon—well before the restaurant had even opened. I quickly parked to visit another business in the same strip mall, when Venetis’ own in-house security abruptly approached. She took a break from her cigarette just long enough to order me out of the lot, citing “private property.”

There was no polite inquiry about how long I’d be, no request to move—just a blunt, yelled command to leave. To make matters worse, the parking lot isn’t clearly marked as “Venetis Only.” The experience left such a sour taste in my mouth that I will never return.

Good luck staying in business with that kind of customer interaction.

Old restaurant thats been there forever. Their food is always on point and they know how to cook a steak unlike The Keg. Their prices are pretty good too. Side note...if you like French onion soup...theirs is one of my favorites!

The food is good, and consistent. The place is extremely dated and feels cramped. Could definitely use some brighter colors, and proper use of floor space to open it up. The staff we're friendly and competent. They seem to treat everyone like they've been coming there for 30 year's, so they can come off a little abrassive at times. But thats a completely subjective opinion, i find it actually contributes to the charm of the place. I book here about once a month and have never had a bad meal. Keep in mind that the portions are enormous, so you never leave hungry.

As I was paying the bill a staffer came along asking if someone had a certain car parked outside. Sounded like mine. I got up to check. Yes it was. The staffer was about to have it towed because it had been there too long (1 hr for dinner). The car was not parked in front of the restaurant where there were signs but across and street-side. The restaurant is in a mall with other stores. There was a car parked directly behind so I could not get out. “The staffer” moved it. Were they hoping to “catch” the culprit? I have never encountered anything like this…ever. Not only was this unprofessional, but lacked common sense. Food good. I won’t be back ever.
Having read the response to another customer from this restaurant who had their car towed, I find the response unbelievable. The customer is always right days are long over. Your dinner here could cost a lot more than you think. So think twice.
