Wendel's Bookstore & Cafe

We visit Wendel's often and always enjoy the food or beverages we purchase. Today my wife and I went there for dinner. We ordered entrees and two glasses of wine. My pasta was very salty and though I tried to get past it, I just couldn't eat it. I spoke to the server who immediately apologized and took the food away. The server asked if I wanted something else and I ordered a seafood pasta dish. It was excellent. The server then returned with a cash return for the price of the original dish and did not charge me for the replacement dish. That was service above and beyond. I doubt this happens at most establishments. My wife and I were seriously impressed. Well done Wendel's and much gratitude to the servers.

Tried this place honestly let down. Not sure how it’s rated four star. We ordered Benedict and panini. Benedict was missing the rich creamy magic, and egg is overcooked and so dry. The vibe was nice thou but the bookstore is very small. Next time I might just order coffee and enjoy the view.

We come here for breakfast/brunch atleast once a month and it's usually been pretty good, but on Sunday the lady at the till didn't greet us or smile. Half the food we ordered she said they didnt have the ingredients for.. curious which ingredients for French Toast, they were missing ..for breakfast..at 10am, she also said the espresso machine wasn't working which was false. There are atleast 100 different ways to offer solutions, have customer service skills and just overall being nice to your customers, just saying.

Amazing food. Decent Mocha. Not great hot chocolate. Nice service and atmosphere.

Good coffee and good food. Can get very busy in weekends.

we came in for a late night snack at 9:30 we ordered over 70 dollars in food and drinks, the food and drinks were alright but our whole experience was ruined by an individual named yvonne she was swearing loudly saying how she did not want to be here was was very rude when she dropped off the food

A quaint little bookstore with a joining restaurant. Service excellent, view fantastic, Buttered chicken, BLT with salad or South Western omelette before 11am.

Phenomenal breakfast spot. We had the best Eggs Benedict (Smoked Bacon Benny) & breakfast sandwich we've ever had and at a very good price. Just spectacularly made. The drinks are also very good. Highly recommend for breakfast. Cant wait to go back and try more of their menu.

There should be a review section for the book store. The eatery is fine but the book store lady is so unwelcoming and today was quite rude. It’s not the first time

extremely rude receptionist needs to learn how to talk to customers and clients.

Everyone is friendly but it's really busy. The girl was pumping out the coffee but it still took way too long for a Caramel Macchiato. 15 mins? Don't come here for a quick drink.

We went to Wendel’s Bookstore & Cafe hoping to grab some lunch, but the line was almost out of the door and it was way too busy on a Saturday. We came back later in the afternoon to grab some coffee and dessert and it was still busy so we gave up. We did check out the small bookstore section though, which was nicely organized. But it did feel a bit clusterphobic with the queue and diners eating near the entrance and we didn’t stay long.

A bookstore and full service cafe - both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, desserts, soups, salads, sandwiches, entrees, delicious mac and cheese, gluten free options. Seating inside and outside but it gets VERY busy and crowded. Food is excellent. Service is average.
