We were delighted to discovery this bakery after cycling from Powell River. Thanks to the young woman who served us and gave us some cycling recommendations in the area. The delicious soup and sandwiches fueled our trip. We actually came back the next day and had the most delicious cinnamon buns.

Delicious, wasn't in the area for long but what I had was so fresh and tasted homemade- in the best way.

We drove half an hour to try Nancy’s Bakery after hearing about their “famous” blackberry cinnamon buns, but when we arrived the only ones available were apple, coconut, and chocolate hazelnut. While in line, we watched a staff member handling baked goods with bare hands, which wasn’t reassuring.

When it was our turn, the woman at the counter was grumpy, impatient, and downright gruff. I asked what kinds were coming out, and she brushed me off until another staff member finally said blackberry and cinnamon. We had already ordered the drinks and the available buns, but when I asked if I could also pay for two of the fresh ones and wait while we ate, she curtly refused and told me to come back and line up again.

The latte and London fog were nice (the coffee was just okay), but the buns were awful—like plain bread dough smothered in syrup and brown sugar. Definitely not worth the hype.

The patio view is gorgeous, but with the of-fputting service, questionable food handling, and disappointing food, we won’t be back

Nancy's is definitely the place to go for a great breakfast or lunch. Be prepared to stand in line as it's very busy, but worth the wait.

We have been eating the cinnamon buns for 20 years! They have always been delicious.
Not so this past Sunday. Picked up a to go order of 4 cinnamon buns. They were half the size...not light and fluffy...tasted like dough. Also..way too much sugar syrup.
Not edible.🥹
