The staff was very friendly. It's a nice quaint place in the middle of nowhere.. however the prices are insanely over inflated.
I got the penne boscaiola. I was expecting traditional Italian sausage with wild mushrooms as the menu stated.. however I was disappointed. I did not see any wild mushrooms.. it was mostly onions and the "sausage" was more like thinly sliced hotdog. It was really disappointing. Especially for a 34.00 plate
My wife got the chicken Parmesan, the chicken was cold in the middle and the sauce on top was warm.. for a 46.00 plate I expected much more.
The only thing I really enjoyed was the burrata appetizer.. but at 24.00 that too was overpriced.
Safe to say I will not be returning.

Probably one of the best Italian places I’ve ever been to. Memorable, I came back again and will continue to!

Service was mediocre. Appetizers came out before our drinks and then it took an hour for mains to arrive. Everyone else’s food at different tables came relatively quickly so not sure why our mains took an hour after ordering to come out. There was no communication from the server about the delay of food which would have given us a much better experience. The pasta was pretty bland, not much flavour and not worth the prices.

We met with some friends for dinner here and well the atmosphere was decent in the server was fantastic.. I was not impressed with the food for the price..
I paid $60 for the steak cut of the day which was supposed to be a Black Angus 12 Oz steak .
I asked for it to be cooked to medium rare…. When it was served, it looked like something that you’d find on a steak sandwich less than half an inch thick flat and wide… It was definitely on the Well, done Side..
Well, I know it is an Italian eatery. If you can’t cook a basic steak why I put it on the menu.??
Our other party members enjoyed their food.. But did agree that it was on the pricey side..
Finally, when the bill came, we were informed there’s a 2% surcharge if you wanted to use a credit card.. With the prices they are charging, And spending easily over $100 per person it felt very cheap and petty. Leaving an otherwise great experience minus the steak.. tarnished

Food was ok but too pricey for the quality
Vegetarian options: There are several veggie options more than the average in such remote locations

A real Italian restaurant made with fresh seafood. I was worried because it was expensive, but there was a reason it was expensive. It was definitely fresh seafood received that day. The best restaurant. A place I want to go back to. The only downside is that the food comes out a little late because there are a lot of people.

My son picked this restaurant to celebrate his birthday (even though we could've eaten in Powell River) prior to taking the ferry over.
We had driven by this place at the start of our trip...and I was already in love but had no idea this was the same place until we pulled up.
We had called earlier in the day to reserve a table on the patio but when we arrived, the young lady host (who on a side note, doesn't really give off a welcoming vibe or smile) said that we had been booked for inside which was an immediate disappointment. I insisted and they made a way in the end (suggesting the garden area as an alternate initially).... but when there is an expectation already, it isn't a good way to start.
The guy server we had (his 3rd season working there) was very friendly and impressively had many of the special menu options memorized.
We started with the Brushetta and Caesar Salad and ordered a mock tail Sabrini for my birthday teen... while I had the mojito.
Upon tasting my mojito, it was definitely missing the alcohol (at a minimum) and then we noticed a spider swimming inside.
When I shared my findings, the waiter just casually played it off like it was no biggie because we are outside eating on the patio...ummm?... and took it away to get replaced.
When it came back there was no flower this time :( (so it didn't feel as special) but tasted the way it should and this time, no arachnid or other type of bug was enjoying my beverage ahead of me.... (when I mentioned it, he did bring me another flower- pansy-to add... which my Son subsequently ate!)
We were a little shocked to start that Pasta dishes are priced in the $30 ranges but I ordered the Aldo Special (with smoked salmon) and my kids picked each choose the Arrabbiata dish.... and we were NOT disappointed:)
They were delicious and a very good portion... perfectly portioned actually... leaving the feeling that even though the price was a lil steep, our bellies were pleased and taste buds tickled with every bite.
The ambiance was a delightful experience, with soft music playing in the background surrounded by beauty (clearly, they have invested a lot of time into the landscaping).
The table ahead of us were a lil inconsiderate playing videos loudly from their phone (also my son said he watched as the lady was making a TicToc)... I guess anything should be acceptable these days.
I had asked ahead, if there was a special dessert for my birthday teen and told they could do Tirimasu which my Son was very pleased with.... and I concur that it was delicious!!!... (there was even enough for sharing because he was getting full... which is hard to get in a teenage boy!).. and we were nicely surprised by all the staff coming out to sing Happy Birthday:)
I was disappointed to see that I was still charged for my drink (even though it was replaced), usually a restaurant would remove it from the bill due to the circumstance).
I was also a lil surprised to see that the birthday dessert was not complimentary or discounted (as that is also usually the standard)....but could see that maybe they feel that people could take advantage...
The dishes were beautifully presented, perfectly portioned and equally matched in flavorful bursts for the senses.
We would consider returning and even look at staying as guests sometime.
We had a lovely chat with a lady inside (who had worked there for over 20 yrs now) prior to leaving and there was another woman server (short silver hair) who also had a nice personna....and energy.

We go to this restaurant every year since we had our wedding reception here and we really like the food. I am not going to say how expensive the food is. However, it felt like a slap in the face when I got $200 bill and was charged another $5 for paying with credit card. Please don’t tell me there’s not enough margin in the restaurant to cover that expense. Everyone needs money I get it, but I feel like on top of high end prices, machines being set automatically to 18% tips, and other stuff like charge for paying with credit that you try to squeeze me for everything and more as a customer. To be fair it is not just this restaurant, I just feel that soon we will be charged 5$ for greeting and breathing air. Thank you guys.

Food was good... had a great table...It seemed like it was going to be a great experience but the euro-waiter with the man bun was angry aggressive and condescending with little to no service skills. Untrained in the basics of service. Horrible. He acted like he hated his job... as though it was beneath him. A totally bizarre experience. We will never return. Thats the last $250 we spend here! One example of the bizarre behaviour...one of many thru our evening: when asked how the cappuccino was; my husband answered that it was more like a latte (had around 4oz of milk) the waiter said oh that's nice...??? Followed by; well I didn't make it. He clearly didn't even know the difference between a cappuccino and latte! Dinner out just shouldn't be so challenging to get basic service, especially when your paying $45 for sundried chicken breast with pasta accompaniment.
