This restaurant has a great view of the ferry, water and the beautiful mountains. The food was excellent. We ate there for breakfast and dinner. The coffee is also made just right.
Nice interior atmosphere with beautiful tree trunk tables.

The Cove Restaurant and Passage West is located right at the ferry terminal, making it a convenient stop for travelers waiting for the ferry to Powell River, Sultry Bay, or Saltery Bay. The food is described as fantastic and truly great, with good portions and properly cooked meals. Menu highlights include the Egmont burger, which is incredible, reasonably priced, and features a hand formed beef patty, char-grilled with all the fixings, served with a mountain of hand cut fries. The Bison burger is delish, and the double patty mushroom burger is thoroughly enjoyed. Fish batter is very fluffy, though cod portions are tiny, and the cole slaw is flavourless, needing vinegar. Huge servings of excellent onion rings, huge burger, and meaty fries are also available. The atmosphere is laid back but not too backwater, with an outside area. Coffee is good, and the host and chef are excellent at supporting vegan diets. Takeouts are likely available for those with tight ferry schedules. Highly recommended to drop in for the good food, coffee, cake, and great atmosphere.
