I recently had a disappointing experience at A&W and wanted to share my concerns. The burger I received had visible mold on it, which was extremely concerning and unacceptable for a food establishment. Additionally, my poutine contained a slice of tomato, indicating a lack of attention to detail and potential cross-contamination risks.
I've noticed a significant change in the service at my local A&W. The staff no longer ask for my name when taking my order, instead opting to yell out items in the order they were received. While I understand the importance of efficiency, I believe it's essential to maintain a level of personalized service.
Furthermore, the drive-thru experience has become increasingly frustrating. The parking arrangement, which requires customers to park and wait for their orders, defeats the purpose of a drive-thru and can lead to lengthy wait times.
As a loyal customer, I am disappointed to see the decline in quality and service at A&W. I hope management addresses these concerns to restore my trust and confidence in the brand.

Decided to drive a short way (3 minutes) off the highway to try a different place on our way through Merritt. Was pleasantly surprised; totally worth the detour. The gentleman taking our order was so polite, efficient, friendly and clear that at first we thought it was AI. Didn't know if it was a real person until we got up to the window. Teen burgers were soooo fresh and delicious. Onion rings were so spectacular, we inhaled them before we could get a picture. We will be stopping in again anytime we're passing through Merritt. This is how service and food is supposed to be.
