“We were passing through Merritt the other day and were so tired of 'road food'. Chloe's was exactly what we needed. My husband got what was essentially BiBimBap and was yummy (Bulgogi rice bowl). I got the Brie and apple panini (so good!). Our daughter had a big ceasar salad with home made dressing. Prices were reasonable for the quality served. We all left with big smiles!”

“Well, well, well. We are on a cross-country driving holiday and eating at familiar as well as new places. Stopped in Merritt BC to go to Brambles cafe for a dessert; we had stopped there in 2019. Sadly, it closed shortly after we were there...(not our fault) Adjacent to their location is a sports clothing store, called Original 378 Board shop. Walked out with a pair of dress sneakers and a windbreaker! And, the owner suggested a newish sushi restaurant, Coco's Chicken & Sushi located a couple of blocks away. We had an unagi donburi (eel & rice) which was as good as any we've had in our Toronto home base. We also had their Smoked salmon roll which is a more creative version of the California roll. These were so far above in quality and quantity we were truly amazed; ordered a second. If these are representative of the other menu offerings, this is a must place for your sushi cravings. To put that comment in perspective, we will be happily driving from our West Vancouver home specifically to enjoy a delicious and inexpensive meal. JC2”

“Definitely go here for the food. My 14 oz ribeye was cooked to perfect med rare. Homemade fries were perfect. Calamari was superb. Hot hamburger sandwich and Greek salad was delicious. Even the sautéed veggies were great. Mix of carrot, broccoli and golden beets. Now for the "service." Awful. Our soggy cardboard straws had more personality than our waitress. Brought out our food and didn't see her anymore until she came to take our dirty dishes. Didn't ask if we wanted dessert or water or another drink. I've eaten at a lot of restaurants and this was hands down the worst service I've ever recieved.”

The food is consistently the wonderful A&W quality and the store does right by their customers when something does on occasion go awry. This is a small town that is super busy in the summer and times are challenging in terms of finding, training and retaining people which makes this store all that much more impressive! “I was looking forward for my filled crust pizza. Got the pizza, sat down, but the cheese was dry for some reasons, like rock hard, not melted. So I brought it back and Shelly, the clerk, just had compassion for me, didn't know why that happenned and decided to bring send the cheese back so no other clients get the same experience. She made me an other pizza without questions and gave me a second dipping sauce for free. Thanks for everuything Shelly. Sure I didn't get me stuffed crust, but that pizza and service was still awesome.”
