If you are looking for a decent meal in Merrit keep looking. Stopped in on the drive across the country and was disappointed to say the least. Ordered chips and queso and it was just Tostito's chips and jarred queso. Also ordered chicken bites and fries and upon grabbing my second fry noticed a long black hair engrained in a fry. Lost my appetite is an understatement, maybe they should get some hair nets.
After waiting 40 minutes for sad food staff was barely kind enough to offer a refund ( only on the fries ) and no sense of an apology either. Easily the worst spot I ate at on a trip across half the country. They do not have a proper kitchen at all, believe everything was done in an air fryer.
Maybe after 10 beers food may be decent but wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy let alone a friend.

I’ve stopped by Empty Keg Brew House a few times over the years, but always seemed to miss their opening hours. Today I finally made it in, and it did not disappoint.
Started with a really solid IPA and a couple of classic appetizers. The mozzarella sticks and salt-and-pepper dry ribs were both tasty and hit the spot. Nothing fancy, just good pub-style snacks that pair well with a pint.
The space is large, relaxed, and inviting, with plenty of seating and a casual atmosphere. The owners and staff were friendly and welcoming. In a way, the whole vibe fits Merritt perfectly. I’ll be back for sure.

Visited on a rainy motorcycle trip ; just across the street from the motel. I really liked the vibe from this place. It was mostly full when we arrived with lots of people enjoying their beer in groups. There were a couple tables playing games (crib, scrabble) over a beer. The first round was with their Blonde which I really enjoyed. I'm usually an IPA guy, but I stuck to the Blonde for the second round. They have a lot of beer on tap and wish I had the time for a flight. One thing I love about this place is that they seem to encourage bringing your food in from other take outs, which we did with the adjacent pizza place. I suppose my only negative are the stools, which I found to be very uncomfortable. But to be fair, I had just spent the entire day on a motorcycle...

I enjoyed Empty Keg Brew House on my visit passing through Merritt. A nice craft brew beer selection. Great tasting bar food options. And lots of board games, bar games and arcade games.

Very cool spot in Merritt. We popped in for a quick drink after charging our car and had no idea how fun it was inside. Great beer, air hockey, foosball, skeeball, great atmosphere. I'll definitely be back

One of the best places to visit in Merritt if you're passing through, or if you're a mainstay. Great beer, great vibe, and the whole family (yes kids too) can come and relax and have some snacks and play some board games or arcade games, foosball, skeeball, or air hockey. They have 8 taps that are always rotating, and serve WAY MORE than just beer. They also allow you to bring food from other restaurants if you're feeling like something off menu! It's always clean and looking great too, staff is super friendly. All in all - a great spot for a date, a quick pint, or a family outing!
