Sushi Bars in Merritt

“Well, well, well. We are on a cross-country driving holiday and eating at familiar as well as new places. Stopped in Merritt BC to go to Brambles cafe for a dessert; we had stopped there in 2019. Sadly, it closed shortly after we were there...(not our fault) Adjacent to their location is a sports clothing store, called Original 378 Board shop. Walked out with a pair of dress sneakers and a windbreaker! And, the owner suggested a newish sushi restaurant, Coco's Chicken & Sushi located a couple of blocks away. We had an unagi donburi (eel & rice) which was as good as any we've had in our Toronto home base. We also had their Smoked salmon roll which is a more creative version of the California roll. These were so far above in quality and quantity we were truly amazed; ordered a second. If these are representative of the other menu offerings, this is a must place for your sushi cravings. To put that comment in perspective, we will be happily driving from our West Vancouver home specifically to enjoy a delicious and inexpensive meal. JC2“
