Went out to embers bbq house tonight in mission…. Man run for the hills the service sucked. We knocked over a water. We cleaned up. They barely helped, then the other waters were drank, they didn’t come back once the food was out. And not a top off of drinks. Not to mention my chicken breast meal Was blannnnnnn and dry. Then 3/4 done it. We re-read the menu. They forgot to put sauce on it! Also nothing in this place was bbq. They didn’t even have one??? Not to mention the meal was $50….. for stuff I wouldn’t even serve a prisoner….. just crazy. And when I asked to talk to a manager. The 3 new girls working had no idea what to do, or what they were doing. They even said that!!!!! Nuts! Absolutely nuts!!!! Don’t go there…-15/10

I used to love ordering from Embers, however at their new location the quality has gone way down. Ordered the mini sampler to go, there was no pulled pork or buns in the bag. No napkins or cutlery.

Seems like the new location is using the good reputation of the old owner, while making disappointing food. It was really not good. We used to love the old Embers! Tried it tonight and paid for a meals that was barely edible. It’s sad to call this place a barbecue house!

Picked up two Micheal sandwiches for me and my wife, both buns were stale and tasted heavily of mould, so disappointed, first time eating here since move and will probably be the last

Absolutely loved this place. The food was incredible and in great portions, for a great price. I’ll be going back and recommending to all my friends.

Poor Service Went there last Saturday 7pm. Staff said they are closing at 8pm and it takes them 45 - 50 minutes to prepare the food. So they are only giving us 10 minutes to eat our food. If their service is like this they should put their closing time at 7pm and not 8pm.

The empty dining room was a foreshadowing of what was to come. Ordered the Grill Sergeant burger to go. Did not look appealing and wasn’t worthy of a photo. Was oval shaped, which I though was kind of weird. The patty tasted like something you would get at a cafeteria - nothing home made about it. No slaw or veg on top to balance out the proteins. I’m guessing they have changed ownership, because the positive reviews in the past do not match the current product.

We loved Embers and ate there for years. 10/10. With the new owners still 8/10. We went to the new location today after a drive and were very disappointed. The food was awful. The pulled pork had been reheated so many times it was dry, no amount of the sauce could save it. The wrap, which is now the only one available is half the size. No cornbread and the potato salad was sour. The wings were old, not off yet but really old chicken. It is really sad. We won’t eat there again. When we mentioned the wings being old meat the waitress did take them off the bill. Also the drinks we ordered came in a can. It was not a great experience.

GET THE WINGS. Sticky, sweet, with a little bit of heat.

This place is phenomenal and we will make another stop when we visit mission again!

They were also courteous enough to help us near closing time. Great family owned business that makes top quality food to eat in or to go!

*******THE HORSE RESTAURANT******* WHICH IT WAS 10 !!!!!! SOLD TO PRESENT OWNERS/EMBERS....USED TO BE STANDING ROOM ONLY WHEN THE HORSE HAD IT, FOOD WAS EXEMPLARY, ESPECIALLY THE GRILLED HAM AND CHEESE ON MULTIGRAIN, ABSOLUTELY MOUTH WATERING...SAD TO SEE THE HORSE GO LIKE MANY OTHERS.....TO THE PRESENT EMBERS, BEEN THERE TWICE NOW FIRST WHEN OPENED AND MONTHS LATER FOR THAT GRILLED HAM AND CHEESE-----DISAPPOINTMENT !!!!!!!, DRIED OUT BREAD, SLIVER OF CHEESE-FRIED AND THE SMALLEST TWO PIECES OF HAM ALSO DRIED OUT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. GONE ARE THE CROWDS.... A RESTAURANT HAS TO DELIVER PERIOD, BECAUSE WORD GETS AROUND AND THAT HAS HAPPENED PEOPLE HAVE GONE ELSEWHERE......SAD....A RESTAURANT HAS TO CATER TO THE PUBLIC OR CLOSE THE DOORS.... THE PUBLIC WANTS VALUE AND $13.95 for what arrived at the table, does not cut it. I DONOT*** RECOMMEND ANY DISHES.....THE FORMER OWNER THAT SOLD TO THE EMBERS EVEN GAVE TWO WEEKS TRAINING TO THESE NEW OWNERS, AND APPEARS ALL IS LOST RETREATING TO THE OLD** WAYS WHICH IN TIME WILL HAVE THESE NEW PEOPLE CLOSE DOORS FOR GOOD.......I RECOMMEND NOTHING.....ONE CANNOT*** POST UNLESS THE BOTTOM QUESTIONS ARE ANSWERED...

Parking: USED TO BE SOOOO VERY DIFFICULT TO FIND PARKING AS THE HORSE RESTAURANT WAS THE PLACE TO GO 10/10 AND NOW.....ALLLLLLL KINDS OF PARKING.
