Whenever we're in Mission, our treat is always a visit to The English Tart. Great food every time in a relaxing atmosphere. We also make a point of taking home a loaf of fresh bread.

I was fortunate enough to be invited to High Tea yesterday and had a wonderful experience. We had a choice of teas and I tried the Queens Blend which is a black tea...great flavour and not bitter at all. Our 3 tier tray came with 3 different sandwiches (cucumber, roast chicken and cranberry, and egg salad) and then two tiers of desserts (shortbread, lemon and raspberry cake, carrot cake, cupcakes that resembled a Victoria Sponge cake, a granola type square, miniature scones, chocolate cake,- hope I remembered everything) plus a special heart-shaped, jam filled cookie for my grandson. Atmosphere and service was great, however I did find it a bit noisy…the place was full and of course everybody was talking.I would definitely go again but I perhaps would choose a later time than a lunch hour. Oh, and if you want High Tea you need reservations.

The English Tart is a local gem in the heart of Mission that provides a delightful place to have tea or lunch. Options for lunch are absolutely delicious, especially the quiche. With a range of teas to choose to accompany scrumptious dessert options from flapjacks to cakes. The atmosphere is charming and joyful with pleasant music playing in the background. Service is alays friendly and welcoming. It is undoubtedly one of my all time favourite places!

Love this little gem - we came from chilliwack for high tea, but I didn’t realize they need 48 hrs notice, but we had blueberry tea, soup with homemade bread, chicken sandwich and chocolate cake. Everything was yum! The cake was so moist. My daughter had a lot of fun (4yrs). Thanks for the experience ladies! And the prices were very reasonable! We will be back for high tea!

The Orange Layer cake was very nice, I have taken a scone to have with tea later. All the food looks great, definitely will be back for lunch and a High Tea at some point. Great place for family and friends, and dropping in for a sandwich made with freshly made bread.Kid-friendliness: There's food for everyone.

Went with my two girls for a High Tea. Staff were friendly and accommodated our tardiness. Lovely interior and decor, befitting a High Tea experience. Sweet treats were tasty and quite a variety. The sandwiches were delicious; we loved them all. Some of our negatives was that the bread used in the sandwiches was all the same, crust was not cut off, and rhe cucumber sandwiches may have needed some salt. But that's being nitpicky because it was charming, close to home and a really wonderful and filling treat. There was so much flavour in so much that we ate, I would definitely go back or recommend it.

The ladies at The English Tarts are always delightful. The pastries are delicious as is the soup and they have gluten free options. They bake in house too. The atmosphere is wonderful so if you're feeling like a cuppa, this is a great place to visit. I'm sure the rest of the food is delicious as well I just haven't tried them all yet.
