Terrible service, arrived at 530 seated right away, had to call i ok we our server to come take our order at 600 ordered truffle fries, took 31 minutes and came cold with terrible presentation, 40 minutes later the steaks arrived ordered medium rare and got rare, called the server over to show her and she said “ew “. Called the manager over and he only comped the fries we waited over 30 minutes for, and only half of the steak we had barely touched. Absolutely terrible service and horrible business management. Paid $82 for a terrible meal and service, will not be returning and will be warning friends and family to not waste their money here

A longtime fav growing up and under new ownership it did not disappoint. Our server today was warm and prompt and the food was great. Crab Benedict on Bannock was amazing, my husband enjoyed his crispy chicken burger and the Bannock with jam was super yummy too.

We had the Fish and chips .the chips were cold and the fish was cooked to a crisp. The coleslaw was awful. We sent it back and 15 minutes later the waitress asked if would like some thing else. We said no because our party was finished eating. The waitress brought our bill and had charged us for our meals. We will not be coming back. That's the worst food I ever had.

Terrible experience, outdated, way overpriced and under sized portions, never again

I wanted to not believe the bad reviews. The food was bad. Crab dip was soupy, and risotto was also soupy. The service was friendly and pleasant. There are some nice marina views outside also. Potential exists here but was not achieved this night.

Food is ok, but I had to say the service and the speed of food was concerning and had caused us missing our ferry. We made a takeout order 15 mins before arriving the restaurant. As we got there, we were told it’ll take another 10, 15, 20 mins, but it actually took 30 mins! The restaurant was only serving 3 tables of customers from what I could saw, but they claimed that they’re very busy for the evening. They even had to cancel one item of our order in order to give us the food on time. We never had to wait for takeout like this long before.

I've given fours for food and atmosphere only because our server was amazing.They should be a Five and our server a six.Construction and dust everywhere outside and she handled it.

We called several places for a reservation for 6ppl and finally found an opening at this place. I couldn't wait for the mussels but unfortunately they were all out as well as over half the menu. But what we ended up ordering was amazing for all 6 of us. The Tuna poke bowl was incredible. Crab dip, seafood chowder and salmon dinners were really good and the Caesar and wine were delish And perfectly paired with our meals. The server (long blonde hair- katie) was top notch and made the experience that much better where Reno's and lack of menu options were a downfall but couldn't be helped. Overall we were very pleased after being nervous after reading negative reviews. I do think the menu pricing could be altered during Reno's. Paying fine dining price without the fine dining atmosphere... but the patio seating on a beautiful evening in harbor was very nice to experience at least.

Kid-friendliness: My 4 kids were very welcome and the waitresswas amazing with them. They loved their food. My son is celiac and she was knowledgeable and very accommodating and helpful finding out what was safe for him. He got the honey glazed salmon entree.

I have never left a bad review like this- but our experience here seems to call for it. I would have posted sooner but we have been travelling and it will be a bit lengthy.We were visiting family in Nanaimo and wanted to go for a nice meal and were excited to try Beefeaters - this was a mistake.We arrived around 6 and there were 2 tables finishing inside and 2 outside. The server asked if we had a reservation and we said no. (This is the same server we had the whole evening- she was cold, not friendly or personable. I believe I heard her say her name was Victoria) and She responded to us with “walk in.” …. And that was it. So we stood there and then I said “anywhere?” And she said “no, where do you went to sit” we asked if it would be possible to be seated on the patio. She told us she has to go talk to her coworkers and left. We waited for 5 minutes before she came back. When she did she asked us again where we would like to sit and again, we asked for the patio. She then sat us.We waited for another 10 minutes and we were finally asked for a drink order. My partner was told they didn’t have pints of beer - to which at one pint we pointed at another table who had one- but she insisted they didn’t have them. After ordering drinks we received them 10 minutes later. We waited another 15 for her to return for our order. We ordered fresh oyster to start to share. They took over a half hour. We also each ordered a cup of chowder before our meals and the main dishes. After over another hour we never saw another plate or bowl of food. We asked her if it was going to be much longer for our soup or anything and she was so rude we ended up walking out without eating. We did however have to pay for everything without even an apology from the staff, manager or anything. It was the worst experience we have ever had in a restaurant. On a good note, the server who did take our payment (not our server or management) was extremely apologetic and couldn’t believe she had to take our payment.

Even with the construction happening nearby, this was a piece of heaven. 5-star food with a purely Indigenous touch and a perfect way to enjoy any part of your day.
