Gaya Sushi in Nanaimo is a delightful Japanese restaurant that offers fresh, flavorful, and high-quality food at reasonable prices. The menu features a variety of options, including classic California and Dynamite rolls, as well as inventive specialty rolls like the Fish and Chips roll. The nigiri is fresh, and the fried noodle dishes are flavorful and generous. The gomae is particularly tasty. Customers have noted that the food is plentiful and well-presented, making it a great choice for sharing. The staff is friendly, attentive, and dedicated to providing excellent service. The fish n chips roll is outrageously good and probably one of my favourite sushi rolls ever! Would recommend the Katsu Don, Spider Roll, Chop Scallop Roll. Service was quick. The restaurant will be closed hours before its stated time, or will just be closed for the day, so be very prepared for the restaurant to just be randomly closed.
