Food is great, but the service makes this the last time my family will be ordering from them. This is the 2nd time that they messed up an order through skip.
1st time they messed up the order and the only solution they offered my wife was to have her drive to the restaurant with the food so they could see if it was an actual issue, kind of the opposite of why you order delivery. After no real solution was offered, they said they would offer a discount the next time we ordered.
Just now they yet again sent the wrong size and when I phoned them they tried the same tactics with me. Inturpting, arguing, and making excuses. I told them I was looking at a medium order and what was supposed to be an xl and the level off the broth in both bowls was the same. Same size of container. I discovered that the lids have the broth letter and size on it. Both orders had m's. After some back and forth we agreed they should bring what I ordered.
No admiting that they had done anything wrong, no actual apology.

A Warm Bowl by the Water – Great Service, Good Pho, and a Beautiful View
Our visit to Sealand Pho in Nanaimo was a very positive experience. I had the Sealand Special Beef Pho, and it truly hit the mark—the broth was flavorful and well-balanced, the meats were of good quality, and the ratio of noodles to meat was just right. The fresh bean sprouts, lemon wedges, and the excellent chili oil were thoughtful touches that made the dish even more enjoyable.
We also tried one of the vermicelli bowls. While the overall dish was okay, the spring roll lacked a bit of flavor and didn’t taste as fresh. The vermicelli noodles themselves seemed to fall apart a bit—perhaps due to overcooking or the type of noodle used. Still, it was a satisfying meal.
The service was very friendly, and one of the most unique features of Sealand Pho is its stunning location. The view from our table overlooking the water added something truly memorable to the experience. And for a place with such a premium setting, the pricing is more than fair—likely even better than what you’d find in less desirable locations.
There’s room for a few small improvements, but this restaurant shows a lot of heart and potential. Wishing the team at Sealand Pho continued growth and success. May your hospitality and hard work nourish many in this beautiful city.

Our waiter didn't speak much English. The spring rolls were average. Besides the patio, I would not recommend it. Also, 3 parking spots for the whole restaurant. The pay spots are $4 an hour!!

Need to update their menu - the 10% off for takeout is “no longer offered” even though it is listed on the menu.

Just got home from picking up my lunch order from Sealand Pho and I could not be happier with my experience.
Not only was my sub and coffee delicious, but the service was over the top
As I was driving away in my car, I look back in my rear view mirror and see one of the staff members chasing down my vehicle in the parking lot. As it turns out I had been over charged when paying and they wanted to make sure I got my money refunded. While this small mistake may have only cost me a couple dollars, I feel something like this would go unnoticed or ignored more often then not these days.
Will definitely be coming back in the future

It’s ok. I’ve had Vietnamese 100s of times and I’d say this is ok, but far from the best. Tastes were generally ok, but nothing special in terms of Vietnamese cuisine. The lemongrass chicken had skins so whatever lenondgrass there was didn’t make it to the meat. mostly tasted like BBQ/grilled vs lemongrass chicken. It was a nice amount of protein. Overall pretty underwhelming, and not as fast as some other spots. But we did see a seal 🦭 so that was nice

The views are 10/10. The windows are large and overlook the beautiful blue skies and water. Clean facilities and friendly staff. The Pho noodles and broth taste delicious and came quickly. I also tried their Vietnamese style coffee with condensed milk (cold over ice) which was refreshing on a warm day. Voted best “Pho in town.” This is a great place to go for some delicious filling comfort food!
