Been ordering take out from here for about 6 years. Owners are lovely and they take pride in their food, service and storefront. Have watched them constantly make physical improvements and provide new menu items. Sushi is always fresh, tempura crisp, and miso piping hot. They have a bit of seating and though primarily take out, it is nice to just take a short break from the bustle to enjoy the food that much fresher/hotter.

Food is otherwise great, but this has been the second time I’ve ordered a CONE from them, and they gave me a roll instead. Couldn’t return it since I had it delivered. But I really wanted to try their highly rated California CONE. But they gave me the roll instead. I already ordered a roll, to go with the cone and was looking forward to this meal. It’s frustrating because this happened when I ordered their Scallop CONE, and they gave me a sushi roll instead. Do they not thoroughly read their orders? So disappointing...I regret tipping.

Seto Sushi is the best sushi value in Nanaimo, and that is coming from my Japanese family!!! The owner is a skilled Sushi Chef, and he and his wife take such good care preparing your order. They are efficient and polite, and there has never been a wait for the countless times that we have visited. Always kind and helpful, and the chicken karaage is indescibably delicious!
