The Rock City Smitty's tends to be very hit or miss. The service is either excellent or abysmal. The bathrooms are often on desperate need of cleaning.While they don't have automatic doors, the floor space is plentiful for wheelchairs.The food is at worst average and at best great.
Recently a group of 18 of us, with reservations, had the great experience of eating at the Smitty’s at Rock City Plaza. Our server Bryn was amazing! She took all orders promptly, our food came out hot, all orders were correct and no one had to wait for their meal. Plates were cleared, bills were correct. We were allHighly impressed!! Enjoyed the breakfast. (you can see I love pepper and started into it already!) Nice atmosphere and I saw a great patio outside and will be there to visit in spring. I have not tried Smitty's in a while, and love Rock City one! The server was a great guy - friendly and courteous. I think his name was Jesse. The hostess also was hospitable. I will go back and try other dishes.
