Received my salmon order a couple of days ago and just tried it today for the first time! It was delicious! Loved the way it was packed in the can and for shipping!
Will definitely be ordering again!
And as a bonus it is Canadian!

Hidden fees (15 lbs per process is mentioned on the processing intake form but no extra charges or costs are disclosed). Called twice to mention this, calls were not returned. Processing took over three months. All processing costs much higher than Fleur, Naas, or Double R. Will not be using st jeans again.

Have had very good interactions with the St Jeans staff and the products are top shelf. Special thanks to Emily for her excellent service. St Jeans should be proud to have her on their staff.

Please have your store hours more available for people to spend money in your store maybe open up on a Saturday as because I want to buy more products from you I need salmon in my diet every week and I really love your products so please consider changing your store hours on a Saturday

Terrible customer service. We dropped our fish in Port Alberni in August to be processed and still have not received it, we were told 6-8 week processing time frame! Our shipment has been misplaced multiple times with no solution from customer service or sense of urgency. Does anyone know other options in the Port Alberni/Nanaimo areas? Very disappointing.

I was salmon fishing in BC and it was suggested to me that rather than bringing back frozen raw fish as I usually do, I should have it smoked. The owner of Coastal Springs Lodge sent it to St Jeans and I am so pleased. Your packaging was incredible and the salmon, smoked, lox and candied was everything I hoped for and more. Thanks so much. Order sheet said 20.44 pounds back of cold smoked salmon. I received 19.44 pounds back. Ninteen 1lb packages and one .44 pound package. Missing one 1lb package. Phoned st jeans explaned problem and was told thats what you get, Very rude woman. I weighed the packaging from a one pound package after thawing and seperating from meat and i re weighed full order, did the math and was shorted one pound. I should have got 20 one pound packages and one .44 pound package. Thats why they call them 1lb packages. Once again she said thats what you get. I guess she does not understand what a one pound package is? I will never use them again. The meat was mushy and very thick sliced.

The St Jean's team stepped up and made it happen! Our fish came in perfectly prepared and packaged. They also sell a number of great products direct and we highly recommend their smoked Salmon. Love the family leadership and culture of the company. We will be fans for life!

We have been buying and having fish processed at St Jeans for years. Was shocked today when I brought my fish in to be processed. I couldn't believe the rudeness and disrespect of the middle aged lady that served me. For no reason whatsoever she had an awful scowl on her face like I shouldn't be there doing business. If that was my employee I would've never had her on the front line dealing with customers. What a way to lose business! I have been overall very happy with the finished product that St Jean's supplies. And have had great service over the years as well. You will have much better luck dealing with the younger people at the front end. In the future I will make sure that if she approaches me I'll tell her that I would prefer to deal with someone other than her. Up until today this would have been a five star review. Sadly she got in the middle.

I received a basket of goodies as a gift and inside was a tin of St. Jean's smoked sockeye salmon. This is far and away the best tinned salmon that I have ever eaten. It was delicious and so flavourful. I'm looking forward to trying more of their products.

For Christmas we thought we’d indulge and try different St Jeans packs of smoked salmon and smoked mussels. Absolutely disgusting. All of the St Jeans products were slimy and Ive never seen very dark brown hard salmon that was all bloodline! It was all so strongly fishy tasting and was completely inedible by 8 people. Down the toilet it all went. Hours later, the one bite we each had of the salmon and mussels are still “repeating” on us and we are munching on Rolaids and Pepto. We are sadly repulsed as we had such high hopes and ticked off as it was not cheap. We will go back to making our own or purchase from other favourite companies. GROSS.
