The Grand Cru Restaurant and Lounge

Its stylish. The portions for food could be bigger foe the price they want. But when i was there, it was quiet. The staff were really nice. We had a Philippine lady that made conversation with us. Just bring $$$ and you'll be fine.

Went for breakfast. Had eggs Benedict. So-so. Could receive same at a Ricky's. Coffee tasted like packaged industrial stuff. Just awful. No specials like local jams or local honey. Nothing. And the prices were nuts for the quality of the food. Music was so loud we had to raise our voices to be heard. We will go back to try an evening meal.

I took my mum and sister here for a breakfast treat, aiming for a classier experience with linen tablecloths and attentive service. We were not disappointed in the slightest: delicious food, patient service, and a lovely atmosphere. Will return!

I think this restaurant is underrated in Nanaimo, it has wonderful food, and ambiance!

I like the Grand Cru for brunch. Nicely presented breakfasts, very tasty great omelets, and very good coffee. Very friendly service. 9I recommend going for brunch there

Excellent service and attention to detail! Hassan is passionate and educated about his wine and whiskey. We had the nicest night and would definitely return. Mushroom ravioli is delicious!!!

Got the afternoon tea, the service and atmosphere was amazing. The food however wasn't that great. Wasn't terrible but the three of us only enjoyed the macaron from the desserts. Then all the savory stuff was just meh. Scones were good, loved that they came with legit clotted cream and alot of it. Presentation was lovely. Everything came very quickly which was a nice change from alot of other places that have made us wait almost an hour for our food despite having a reservation. Disappointing that the food was nothing special because the rest of the experience was great and would definitely want to go back.
