"The Big Italy" is hands-down the best sandwich I've ever had in a cafe. The matcha is delicious; it's good quality and made correctly. Cute interior with fun art and lots of plants, however the flow of the lines is somewhat confusing and seating is limited due to the cozy size. Overall I would recommend if you're looking for a casual sit-down lunch, just make sure you go when it's not too busy if you want a seat for a longer (45 min plus) stay.
Delicious GF baked goods accompanied by amazing coffee and tea. It’s a small establishment, but that doesn’t take away from the relaxing atmosphere. Staff are very friendly and welcoming.

We love this place. They make the best cappuccino in Nanaimo. They also have a few gluten free muffins (occasionally).The ONLY reason I couldn’t give 5 stars, and the reason we don’t stop in more, is because too often there’s no available table, TOO many people with laptops sitting for hour or longer, nursing one coffee. Try doing like so many other cafes, charge for internet after 15min.
