I’m almost embarrassed to say that although I’ve lived in this area for over three years this was our first time at NBC!
Although we looked at nearby homes and inquired about the condos (no one returned my call) we somehow overlooked the cafe.
I made a reservation for four, even I have friends, and we arrived simultaneously at the appointed hour. The greeter was friendly and welcoming as she brought us to a table with a million dollar view.
Morgan was our server, lucky for us, as she answered our first timer questions. One of our friends is allergic to dairy and fish and I’m the vegan. Morgan is the consummate pro, she fielded our inquiries and made excellent recommendations.
We were all very pleased with our selections and the portions.
Needless to say we warned Morgan that we’d be back soon and we meant it.
Vegetarian options: I had the wrap and a mushroom appetizer that were both delicious.
Dietary restrictions: Lots of veggie and a few vegan options, they were very accommodating. Allergy concerns were noted with no issues.

Came for dinner but went to the bar/lounge for happy hour pricing. Got a great deal for a double gin and tonic at $10CAN. Enjoyed the shrimp and pork dumplings so much we may just come back and order a lot more! Finished the evening with affogato and toffee pudding. Delicious!!!

Took a friend for her birthday, we all had a good time. We shared some oysters for appetizers which was a treat.
I was told to make a reservation if I wanted a window seat. So I called on Sat for a reservation on Sunday at 1 pm for my husband and I. I asked if they would have clams or oysters on the menu she told me they won't know till Sunday. I also asked for a window seat but was told they can't confirm that till I arrive. I live in qualicum Beach and it's a 30 drive so I then told her why would I drive all that way to not get what I wanted. I called this morning to confirm and was told again I don't know if they'll have what I want, clams or oysters. So why would I go there. Here I come Bayside.

Decided to celebrate my partner's birthday here today. Started with the Bison Carpaccio, and then had the Sunday Roast with Yorkshire pudding and all the trimmings which was perfect! Probably one of the nicest roasts I've had in ages. The meat was melt in your mouth. And topped everything off with Sticky Toffee Pudding for dessert! We will be back!
