Pacific Moon Rising Bar & Grill

We often stop at Pacific Shores Resort & Spa enroute to break up the long trek from the Okanagan to Tofino. After a walk along the private beach trail in this spectacular ocean setting, we look forward to a meal at the on-site Pacific Moon Rising Bar and Grill, starting with the chilled jumbo prawns and then sharing a sumptuous entree. They have a limited but thoughtful selection of moderately priced BC craft beers and VQA wines. A hidden gem.

Food was absolutely phenomenal I loved the environment looking out in to Craig bay as the sun set over the horizon. I would like to congratulate the two young host Everett and Colton who welcomed us at the door with a warm smile guiding me and my friends to a window seat overlooking the water…I will definitely be back again

My experience was amazing! I had two of the Best hosts I have ever had Colton and Everett. They were phenomenal. They helped me with everything It was superb the communication and positivity with the customers was just perfect in the end I had an amazing dinner and overall had a great night!!!

I visited the restaurant tonight with a couple of my friends and had the greatest experience with all of my servers and host, namely Everett and Colton who provided service with the utmost effort and enthusiasm.

Had a pretty okay experience here. The food itself was good despite the poutine being way overly salted I couldn’t finish it. The waitresses taking our order was very sweet although when we all ordered burgers she asked us what sides we would like and listed a bunch of options but failed to mention the side is an extra charge. that was the first time I’ve ever seen fries come on the side for an extra charge or if the side is extra usually it’s mentioned. would highly recommend the wings here though they were great!

The food was amazing. We got the portobello mushroom burger and truffle fries as a starter. Both were delicious and served very fast. Our server, Rayline was very helpful, kind, attentive, and friendly. She made the experience all the more better. Highly recommend.

This is the perfect place to stop for lunch; we stopped for lunch whilst travelling from Tofino to Victoria and it was a great mid-way point. We found it by chance looking for somewhere to stop for lunch and were so glad we did. Don't be put off by the fact it is part of a resort - they are very welcoming to walk-ins that are not staying at the resort.

We were served by Erica who was really attentive and looked after us brilliantly and like us, could not understand why we were the only people sat outside on such a beautiful day.

The fabulous outside patio overlooks a beautiful bay, and the food was fantastic. The halibut and chips was sensational. Being English, I have sampled quite a few portions of fish and chips over the years and this was hands down the best I have ever hand.

Absolutely gorgeous views, beautiful patio and delicious food! Located at Pacific Shores Resort in Nanoose Bay, it's an idyllic destination for ~ Romantic Getaways, Ocean walks, Paddle boarding, and play with the family.

Staying at the resort and walked over to get takeout. French onion soup was fantastic and servers were sweet expect to wait as food seems to be made to order. Beautiful view of Craig Bay and bartender was attentive while I waited for the to go order. Prices are what you expect at Resort Restaurant

We came in for happy hour and ordered the arancini and muscles. Both were delicious and our daughter loved her tenders (homemade) and the Kennebec fries were amazing! The view and Music was great as well. We enjoyed it so much we’ll be back in a few days for dinner.

Note to manager: We did feel that tablecloths inside (at least for dinner service) would add to the overall ambiance.

There is definitely something off with the operations of this restaurant. Pizza oven has been out of service for over a month (or so the waitress told us; it’s your busiest season - get it fixed!), so many other items in the menu are not available including some off the drink menu. When the food comes out of the kitchen, it’s really good. Well presented and tasted great! Service is something to be addressed however. 2 servers who can’t multitask if their life depended on it. Tables of customers waiting for drinks, boxes to take food home and the bill. We didn’t see out server for a good 20 minutes. Didn’t have high expectations after reading the reviews. Won’t be back.

Service was terrible, so was my pasta which was swimming in oil and missing tomatoes. Couldn't get her attention to get it corrected and when we paid there wasn't much concern about it.. Everyone else said theirs was ok. The waitress didn't seem to care too much about anything but a few regulars. Too bad as they missed out on additional liquor sales from our table and a few others I'm sure...

Luise is an absolute gem and the food is to die for. It’s local, fresh and beautifully presented 🤍 This restaurant supports local farmers & the view really tops off your whole experience
