My family enjoyed a Saturday night of live music and delicious food at Pacific Moon.

Very friendly staff, busy place so a bit slow but not too bad and the food was wonderful. We had prawns in a beautiful homemade sauce which I will definitely order again, calamari, mussels and tuna tataki. We enjoyed all if it and would definitely go back.

I don't leave a 1 star review lightly but it's probably time for a new chef at Pacific Moon Rising. We were guests at the Pacific Shores resort where the restaurant is located. It's a beautiful location, and the decor is nice enough. We went for dinner the night we arrived, and it wasn't especially busy but dinner there was pretty underwhelming. The kitchen managed to give my wife the wrong meal. The server was very apologetic about the kitchen's error. The food was fine, if unspectacular.

Then, on another night we tried to order some pizza to go and were told we couldn't order pizza because "they shut the pizza oven down when they get busy". I have to tell you, I ran kitchens for 20 years and that immediately tops the list of the most ridiculous things I've heard from a cook. It's worth noting that pizza takes up like a quarter of their entire dinner menu.

Anyway, it's a nice enough room and the servers were pleasant but in the future I'll be finding other places to eat in Parksville, even if I'm staying at the resort.

I don't trust a cook who puts things on their menu that they can't serve on a Saturday night because it's too hard.

The Pacific Moon Rising exceeded all my expectations! The food was delicious, bursting with fresh flavors and beautifully presented. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with stunning views that made the meal even more special. The service was exceptional, with attentive staff and a hands-on owner who made us feel like VIPs. Highly recommend this gem!

Didn't even get a chance to try the food...
As a guest at the Pacific Shores Resort and Spa. After working all day on the road and finally getting to my room to relax and enjoy some dinner. NOT anting to go out and be social.
I call down to the restaurant that's attached to the resort ( Pacific Moon Rising) to order take out. They refused me take out. Keep in mind that it's an 8 km drive just from the inland island hwy to get here. There is NO other option for food .

Nice surprise! Excellent view, amazing food and great service ? we had the mussels and seafood chowder. Absolutely outstanding. Luise provided excellent service and took great care of us. We will certainly come back!

Due to an error on my part, I found myself needing a reservation for 28 people at 7pm this past Saturday night. I expected the host to laugh at me when I called, but right from the beginning she was accommodating and friendly and worked with me to make it happen. She never made me feel like a burden even though she was doing me a huge favour, and she managed to be creative and make it work for us. I would have been happy enough just to have somewhere to go at that point, but our whole group was very pleasantly surprised by how great it was! The service was very smooth, the food was delicious, and the staff were friendly and professional. The owner, Luise, came to check on us and she was so welcoming. This stressful mistake turned into an incredible experience and we will definitely be back!

The food was good but definitely not worth the price. My family went when they were apparently a few servers down so I could understand some delay in serving. However, when ordering, she only spoke to my wife and was about to leave before I had to call her back. Also, when i asked for the bill, i saw her chatting (not taking orders. Chatting) with other tables before coming back. Paying for the bill should have taken a lot less time than what it did.

Excellent food, Excellent service, Excellent drinks! As a local celiac I come here a couple times a week because I can trust the kitchen and eat well and drink happily ? they have a gluten free frier and can offer me options no other place can. Love this place! ♥️ Thank you for being here!

A Seabreeze beverage is so delicious and Luise can make you one of the best Sangria going!!
We love just popping in for a beverage or a meal and enjoying the beautiful Oceanfront views!!
