Skylea was fantastic! She arrived with two bins of toys, books and a first aid kit. She was instantly engaging with our daughter and our daughter warmed up to her immediately. As parents we felt very confident leaving our child in Skyleas care. She was also able to accommodate us relatively last minute and the whole process was very easy. Highly recommend Skylea.

Skye-Lea was amazing! We were on holidays so her website & intake process gave us extra comfort in who we were leaving our kids with. She was quick to respond & professional. She arrived at our campsite with bins of toys & crafts for the kids to explore. We felt like we met the modern day Mary Poppins! Our kids (3+5yrs) thoroughly enjoyed their time with Skye-Lea & would love to have her babysit on our next trip to Nelson. It was nice to get some adult time in, exploring the trials knowing our kids were well cared for & comfortable with someone they just met.

I recently used Skye- Lea's services, Acorn +Oak Childcare, at my wedding! She brought a Kids Tent and set up and stayed for 4 hours, just after the ceremony and up to dinner ( so during the mingling time/ cocktail hour). It was a great success! Many of the parents commented how great it was that they were actually able to enjoy the wedding themselves. The tent acted as a bit of a hub for all the littles; Skye- Lea brought lots of toys and crafts that entertained while the parents were able to be on the side lines and mingled amongst themselves. It was a bit of an upset when it was time for her to leave! The kids all loved it! Skye- Lea is lovely all around. She is easy to communicate with and she brings a kindness and light. I would definitely recommend Acorn + Oak Childcare at your wedding/ or event. Your guests with kids will thank you!

Sky-Lea is a truly incredible caretaker and educator. We were fortunate enough to vacation in Nelson with our entire family (grandparents, sibling-in-laws, and kiddos) and stubbled upon Acorn + Oak Childcare on the Nelson tourism website.
She was so fantastic with our 2 year old and allowed the rest of the fam to spend time on the mountain together without having to worry about him having a wonderful time, getting a nap, etc. She's truly fantastic. Can't recommend highly enough.

I went today while babysitting and my little friend was smiling the whole time pretty much. There are lots of well curated toys, books, drinks, snacks and more. Sky-Lea is so awesome too!
